The Lyrics

Well, last year I did a Parody Project theme supposing what might have happened had David Crosby cooked the food for the group Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. I wrote a parody for each song on their "Deja Vu" album from around 1970 with that theme and weaved them into a story-line. This time I'm using several Buffalo Springfield songs (two CSNY members were in 'Springfield prior to CSNY, Stephen Stills & Neil Young). This will be the first of several entries in the days to come.
This food is vile
can't be denied
this dried-up beef stuff
has made me lose my smile
tasteless and bland
terrible fare
So awful that I
cannot bear

I say "P.U." now
and then I do heave
Yes, chunks I blow
my gut hurts
and while I puke I
hear these words from Steve
"What's in this crud, man?
That made Neil barf
Just what's in this crud..."

Then Graham Nash spoke
"It's awful, bloke
it's icky stuff
I can't hold it down
I choke
It tastes like gruel"
That made Dave glare
"Graham, go get f*cked"
he then declared

"I cook your food
then you give me grief
You bitch and whine
say, 'it's burned'
Well guys, get screwed
yeah, lay off of me
I tell you brother
my ass is burned
You all can go eat worms"

[instrumental break]
[during instrumental break]
{Crosby is miffed, he's been dissed, so he split}
{Yeah, he has left the room}

[out to fade]
Then Crosby left
he looked bereft
we all just smiled and
threw out that awful mess...

Thanks, alvin...I think I have 10 of the 12 songs on the Buffalo Springfield "Retrospective" album...and I have some ideas for the other two...just needed to take a break on it for a spell...JB - Now I REALLY like that title...maybe I could make a real master-piece-of-pie out of that...my "CSN: The Thumb Album" parody project of their FIRST album had "Sweet: Got Me New Thumbs" in it...well, it's something for my warped mind to ponder - Cool - Thanks!
