The Lyrics

Every sailor gets sooner or later hit by the yacht boom. It is called "getting kissed by the boom". I got last Tuesday.
So I wanted set the sails for the summer
and sail to the sunset quite soon
but something nasty came
out on Tuesday -
[I got] kissed by the boom

Yes, I want to have a sweet sailing summer
But I almost did meet my doom
as I running downwind jibed -
gale caught the mainsail -
[I got] kissed by the boom

I spied the boom a-swinging
I saw then stars everywhere
I felt so suddenly blackout -
and soon a headache was there!

I don't wanna stay at port for the Summer
and do pouting in my room
But my pride is hurting still
and head is aching
[I got] Kissed by the boom

Still I want to set the sails for the summer
and sail to the sunset quite soon
but let us hope all now
it no more'll happen -
[I won't get kissed by the boom

When I saw the title, I thought this was going to be about oil booms in the Gulf.
