ALL ALONG THE WALL STREET TOWER
"There must be a scam to get out of here,"
Said the broker to the thief,
"With all the Wall Street confusion,
Is there no stock market relief?"
"Businesspeople drink and whine,
Our laws, they say we own the earth,
There are fewer billionaires nowadays,
Who knows what my 'folio's worth?"
"Hey now, don't worry, be happy,"
The thief said, with a Cheshire grin,
"With a 700 billion bail-out,
We'll never take it on the chin.
But you and I, they can't touch us,
Or enter through our golden gate.
The profit's ours, bad investments going,
The taxpayers are irate.
All along the Wall Street tower,
A tornado blocked the view.
All sorts of prostitutes, they did their thing,
Politicians, too.
Outside, but not too distant,
A pensioner did growl,
Two candidates were approaching,
The media began to howl.
