The Lyrics

Oh where have you been, my Red State son
And where have you been, "Deplorable" One

I've stumbled on the edges of 12 cities burning
I've idled and cursed in 6 sweltering gas lines
Was tossed from the count rooms of seven states stolen
I've been out in front of conspiracy notions
Ive dodged 10,000 stools on sidewalks of "The City"

And its a Progg, its a Progg, its a Progg, and its a Progg
Its a Progg's reign's .. a-gonna fall

And what have you seen, my Red State son
And have you seen "Deplorable" One

I saw a Vietnamese gay as masked punks harrassed him
I saw a maimed Air Force vet, her neck wound a-dripping
I saw an Empty Times Square where no one was walking
I saw a room full of men with their ballots a-stuffing
I saw a pale Biden; looked like a cadaver
I saw 10,000 toddlers whose smiles were all hidden
I saw guns and sharp knives in the hands of young children

And its a Progg, its a Progg, its a Progg, its a Progg
It's Progg's reign's .. a-gonna fall

And what did you hear, my Red State son
And what you hear, "Deplorable " One

I heard the sound of 1/6; it sounded a warning
I heard the squelching of speech that would drown the Free World
I heard 100 CEOs who'd deny us our franchise
I heard 20 states sueing, but SCOTUS not listening
I heard a Biden draw blanks; I heard Chairman Xi laughing
I heard the smear of a POTUS, who called me Joe Goebbels
I heard a CNN clown lose his s&*t on a network

And its a Progg, its a Progg, its a Progg, its a Progg
Its a Proggs reign's ... a-gonna fall

And who did you meet, my Red State son
And who did you meet, Deplorable One

I met a young child, lost a year of her schooling
I met a white douche genuflect to a black thug
I met a trespasser whose freedom was taken
I met a grand niece, she gave me a purpose
I met an old man who died without loved ones
I met another man who was cancelled by hatred

And it's a Progg, its a Progg, it's a Progg, its a Progg
Its a Proggs reign's .. a-gonna fall

And what will you do, my Red State son
And what will you do, "Deplorable" One

Im going back out before our country has fallen
I'll dive to the depths of the Deep State's swamp forest
Where corruption is plenty and the hands are all graspin'
Where slanders of treason do poison our waters
Where folks who love 'Murica rot in dark dirty prisons
Where the Prosecutor's case is always well hidden
Where the libel is ugly and Patriots forgotten
Where black is the martyr, and white is the scapegoat
And I'll tell it and blog it and post it and tweet it
And reflect it on Reddits, till Tech Lords delete it

And it's a Progg, it's a Progg, it's a Progg, its a PROGG
It's a PROGGS REIGN'S ... a-gonna fall

This is magnificent. Catches the spirit of the Bob Dylan original applied to our times. The line "guns and sharp knives in the hands of young children" is a relevant as ever. You've matched some key consonants and original lyrics, too. This has restored my faith in AIR. This week one of the best writers gave us an ode to constipation. You have given us a standard to aspire to. If only you could find a symphony orchestra to help you record it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxjO4AkYy6Q
