The Lyrics

I didn't know that Bob Dylan wrote these lyrics until I did a search but here I go again adapting one of his early songs to a modernistic theme. If you ever wonder why the Chimes of Freedom sound dull at times, it is because of the filth of humans is trending...need I say more? (Except R.I.P Malaysia Flight 17 - When will enough be enough?)
Far between Al-Qaeda's finish an' Isis' broken toll
exposed as we were to violence never ending
As the zealots killed in the name of peace...they were quickly disavowed...
Because it was the filth of humans trending

Screaming like the hypocrites with tomes of hatred unfurled..
To the Boko Haram assholes (who haven't returned any girls)
with the verbal excess of Zawahiri. That made us want to hurl...
And we glowered upon the filth of humans trending

Now in the USA Republic; the greatest the world has known
We watched the potent masses surrender their power...
The Constitution protectors were no longer of governance...
Only We, The People left to assault the tower...

The Tower of the dark skinned one who thought he'd rule us all!!
and the fools who elected him not seeing the writing on the wall..
You won't destroy the USA without a fight despite of all your gall!!
And we gazed upon the filth of humans trending

Though the mad idiot Congress, yammered on to no consequence
We saw inside there some of them worth saving....
But the leaders were all purpose at least for years..
Leaving only dreams of proper governance that we were craving....

Where went the Constitution, the rightful law of the land?
And the SCOTUS that swore to protect it, they have bloodstains on their hands
As the Bill of Rights was assailed and our hard won freedoms were damned...
And we gazed upon the filth of humans trending

In the bloody wreckage of another Malaysian plane...
No better reason for peace could be anointed...
But the raging, angry bear fought the eagle hard and close
for aught but bloody land..oh how so pointed...

Fighting over ports and land while innocents died in shame...
All but willing to shed blood while refocusing the blame...
To speak the solemn truth...that governance there is lame...
And a sure sign of the filth of humans trending...

The people fought to save the US; it was a grinding and prolonged battle
While OTMs and terrorists flooded our borders...
Now those who believe in our Constitution were subject to unceasing prattle...
And unkind remarks that were made in rancid candor...

So a Constitutionalist is now someone out of their mind?
While the sickening corruption and compromise should be thought as kind..
The Founding Fathers would call Congress...completely out of line
No doubt because of the filth of humans trending

Bleary eyed and sulking, as I recall when I did see...
A worn and faded Mother Teresa icon...
She lived her life as she said; no riches did she accrue
It was of her that I decided to carry on...

I finally felt a cleanliness (Though I don't believe in God)
Because she ministered to those of Mosque, Temple or Synod..
And if she truly trends...I will gladly give her a nod....
Because she isn't the filth of humans trending

A long, complex work, in the best Dylan tradition. I believe you are only the second to attempt "Chimes of Freedom" on this web site. I'll have to listen to the Dylan version again to check your pacing. But the lyrics are quite well conceived.
