The Lyrics

Finally: The Heartbroken, Bitter, Veangeful Reply!
Well I ain't gonna sit and wonder why, babe
Of course I've worked it out by now
Yeah I ain't gonna sit and wonder why, babe
Like you said, it don't matter, anyhow
When my rooster crowed at the break of dawn
I opened up my eyes, and of course you were gone
Well that was long ago and I'm the stronger one,
I won't think twice, it's all right

It weren't no use in turnin' on my light, babe
You'd never notice anyway
An' it weren't no use in turnin' on my light, babe
I bet you're miles and miles away
I knew that there was nothing I could do or say
To try and make you change your mind and stay
Don't think ever really needed you anyway
I won't think twice, it's all right

There's a reason I'm not callin' out your name, boy
That's something you must know
There's a reason I'm not callin' out your name, boy
Well I stopped trying long ago
You'll get tired and lonely only half way down the road
You'll be begging, someone, let you in from the cold
But you ain't getting no more of this broken heart of gold
I won't think twice, it's all right

(quiet)
Well we're alone but hey, we always were, babe
So there's no excuse to cry
(much louder and angrier)
So take your broken dreams and stick them up with
Your stupid euphemisms for goodbye
Well here's my own one: So long and adieu,
What's the point in love if all it does is make you blue?
Well I think I'm ready to find someone new
So I won't think twice, it's all right

I know that you're still stuck in 1962
Why should I think twice? It's alright.
(the last part is sung to the same tune as the last two lines of the other verses) dontcallmehuman@btinternet.com

Interesting idea, the answer song. I tried it with "View From the Cradle." This is as withering and as condescending as a lot of Bob's songs, which makes it a good answer.
