"Right, " said Bard, "Gotta kill this Monster
Just surround and kill it like we know"
Tried to grab it, haul it in and stab it
We was getting nowhere
And so we went and levelled up

"Right, " said Bard, "Give a shout for Cleric."
In comes Cleric, Paladin in tow
After curin', smitin' and abjurin'
We was getting nowhere
And so we tried a level up

And Cleric had a think, and “lets cast - a fireball from a distance
But the Monster had resistance
so it did no good, well I never thought it would

"All right, " said Bard, "Try and chop its feet off
Stop it movin’, that’ll be a blow"
Took its feet off, didn’t take the heat off
Cuz they then began to regrow!
So Bard said, "Let's have another level up"
And we said, "let’s go."

"Alright, " said Bard, "Have to polymorph it
No way it can beat my savin’ throw."
Thunderwaved it when the monster saved it
Still it got us nowhere
And so we had a level up and

"Right, " said Bard, "Dominate the monster”
Then we’ll just instruct it where to go."
Didn’t stop it so we had to hop it
We was getting nowhere
And so we had a level up

And Cleric had a think, and he said, "Look, Bard
We’re tired of all the waitin'
If we level up to eighteen
With a Wish or two we could run the bugger through."

"All right, " said Bard, casting up a wish spell
Hoping he could deal the final blow
But the creature, Spell Reflect a feature, sent it back to Bard to his woe
So Cleric and me had another level up
And then we went home

I said to Cleric, "We'll just have to leave it
living in that dungeon
You see the trouble with Bard is, he's wisdom score's too low
You'll never get nowhere if you' got no wisdom."
