As teenagers, my friends and I had a "pen pal" from a foreign country. His English was atrocious--misspellings, humorous choices of words, etc. I wouldn't laugh at him now, as I realize that someone who knows more than 1 language, knows a lot more than I do. But, we had to laugh at his letters. He listed his hobbies, and one of them was "gril's" (meaning girls). We couldn't help but collaborate on a parody of "California Girls".

Well, East Coast gril's are hip
I really dig that charcoal smell
And the Southern gril's with the way they burn
They make you think you're down in h***
The midwest farmers' wood chips
Really make them burn alright
And the lighter fluid made up north
Really makes those fires ignite.
