Parody Song Title:

"My Boss is a Dragon"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Miss Cox & Miss Box is a re-write of Burnand's Libretto, with Sullivan's musical score left unchanged. Miss Cox is an apprentice hatter, who works by day, and Miss Box is a stripper. This is the first song.
My boss is a dragon and lateness a crime.
I rise at six thirty, to be there on time.
From out of my slumbers, I sleepily climb.
And if I am late, she’ll stop all my pay.
She certainly has a miserly way.

She’ll wind up her timepiece and check on the clock.
I have to be punctual and open the lock.
Then, if I’m not present, she’ll openly mock
And, hands on her hips, she’ll stand there and say:
“You indolent child. Behind you must stay!”
Miss Cox & Miss Box was first performed at The Stalls Theatre in 2010
