Well, there hasn’t been much to stimulate my sense of humor over the past year (2021) and into this one, with the ongoing successive national and international catastrophes. (As the meme goes, “Hey, Jeff Dunham! Come pick up your dummy! This isn’t funny anymore!”) But the one thing crying out for parody is the fact that a certain very high profile member of the administration has a name that happens to rhyme with the name of a fictional school from the now obscure late-1930s Broadway musical, BEST FOOT FORWARD, adapted into a 1941 film starring Lucille Ball. The fight song of the fictional school became the one big hit from the musical, and became as well known as any fight song of any nonfictional school: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQEmrnJpQx0 . The Broadway version also got a revival in 1963 with Liza Minelli and Christopher Walken in the cast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6JzM-oQEX4 . Though the song has slipped back into obscurity over the last six decades, the similarity between the names of the administration member and the fictional school has been screaming at me for a parody for over a year now, and I finally got around to it:
