The Lyrics

Tired of eating the same food every week? It’s a first world problem every day. The subject in this song is on a quest to think outside the box (lunch) and seek out what he is craving for- but he can’t quite put his finger (foods) on it; with little help from the significant other, his desires are revealed. He wants “Chicken Strips”!
I've been eating the same old-
Boxed lunch and beef sticks,
And chili from a bowl,
Koolaid and cheesy grits,
I’m tired-man it’s getting old-
And it’s time to make a switch,
And clearly I don't see myself making a grocery list,

But she said, "Where'd you wanna go?
Or is there something I can fix?
But, I'm not cookin’ forever on some seven course dish.

I want something I can hold,
Something that is crisp,
Maybe something that is fried with honey mustard dip.

Sounds like you want chicken strips!

Perdue-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo, doo-doo
Perdue-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo

I want some chicken strips!

Perdue-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo, doo-doo
Perdue-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo

Oh, I want some chicken strips!

Perdue-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo, doo-doo
Perdue-doo-doo, doo, doo-doo

Oh, I want some chicken strips!
I want some chicken strips.

I've been eating the same old-
Box lunch and beef sticks,
And chili from a bowl,
Koolaid and cheesy grits,
I’m tired of eaitng soup, so take it off the list,
But I'm not the kind that knows just what to fix.

She said, "Where'd you wanna go?
Is there something I can fix?
But, I'm not cookin’ forever on some seven course dish.

I want something I can hold,
Something that is crisp,
Maybe something that is fried with honey mustard dip.

I want chicken strips!
I want some chicken strips,
Oh, I want some chicken strips!

Perdue-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo, doo-doo
Perdue-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo

Oh, I want some chicken strips!

Perdue-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo, doo-doo
Perdue-doo-doo, doo, doo-doo

Where'd you wanna go?
Is there something I can fix?
But, I'm not cookin’ forever on some seven course dish.

I want something I can hold,
Something that is crisp,
Maybe something that is fried with honey mustard dip.

I want some chicken strips!

Oh, I want some chicken strips
Oh, I want some chicken strips
Oh, I want some chicken strips
