The Lyrics

Recently, fans have been complaining about the sequels (VII-IX) and comparing them to the prequels. I kinda have to agree with them as TBH, I think the Clone Wars saved the prequel trilogy and the sequels just don't feel like Star Wars anymore with Disney in complete control.
Now back then, Star Wars had real tough female power,
Like Mara Jade, Satele Shan and Darth Talon.
But you rewrote them out of history,
Deleted Legends stuff, damn you, Disney.
And made new movies making prequels masterpieces.

You are now addicted to badly written characters,
Like Mary Sues as well as the Martez Twins.
Now the story doesn't all make sense,
Leia floating? Man, ever since,
That all happened, we feel it's all over.

But you didn't have to change it all!
Like I said, these films make the prequels look like they're something!
I don't even need your love,
You treat us all like banthas and that feels so rough.
No, you didn't have to screw things up.
Have Filoni direct it all and it would be much better,
Yet, you did not even do so!
What happened to the Star Wars that I Used to Know?

What happened to the Star Wars that I Used to Know?

What happened to the Star Wars that I Used to Know?

KENNEDY:
Now and then I feel like I have really screwed fans over.
Though The Mandalorian and Rebels were well done.
But Star Wars will be done my way!
I don't care what you have to say!
Like Elsa said, just "Let it Go",
There is no source material from the Star Wars that you used to know!

ME (While KENNEDY hums):
You didn't have to change it all,
Flying horses, floating through space? Mary Sues? All dumb things!
How is Rey a Skywalker?
You treat us all like twi'lek slaves! It really hurts!
No, you didn't have to make them blow!
Why the hell did you have to leave so many big plot holes?
Tico was an all time low,
What happened to the Star Wars that I used to know?

The Franchise,
I used to know!
What happened to the Star Wars that I used to know?

The Franchise,
I used to know!
What happened to the Star Wars that I used to know?

That I used to know?

That I used to know?

That I used to know?

That I used to know?
I do support female lead characters, but the sequel trilogy....just....ugh! However, Rogue One was much better of an example than TFA, TLJ and TROS.

i Remember the Original STAR WARS - January 17, 2021 - Report this comment
I agree. Disney has totally screwed it up bigtime. Just like STAR TREK after Gene Rodenberry died, after the mid 90s it all turned into a soap opera.
