I wore tight knit shorts
Mothers abhor, call lame
I’d get chills on knee
Turn blue and I’d rue, lay blame
And my butt would carp
Attitude on display

I’m shivering in dismay

And I’m gonna freeze here until I shudder
My temp has shut down

And I feel bare, frozen and listless
Stressed in my threads so tight
If I could wear just three more layers
Donned some plaid and wool but swore no heat acquired
And I wept and cried

I went shopping, looked for worth
I was ready for some warmth here
Wanted furs to thaw, undo cool air on me

But I am always cold, you see

Heat pad and put on mitts
The hoar went through, I’m blue here
I say “brr” and make fuss, I lay cold and curled
I endeavor to bed down
And to spoon for heat support
But now I have to go and pee

But bottom line, I have just aged now
No dome to comb and I must concede
Oh it’s true, knee joints inflamed
And I exclaim “Gee, circulations not the same”

Oh, I’m resigned

All this strife
Forever moan, cold I’ve been
I am old and blue
I find that I can’t transcend

And I fear today
Plight that you can’t allay
Will shivering go away?
No, shivering’s here to stay

But maybe hot tea here or whatever
