The Lyrics
This parody is my first concerning the "Leave It to Beaver" show. It is about Ward's annoying braggart co-worker Fred Rutherford that constantly is giving Ward parenting advice as a father and bragging about his children Clarence "Lumpy" Rutherford and Violet Rutherford. Clarence was at first a bully to the Cleaver boys but made friends with Wally. At home Fred calls him "a boob" for his stupidity. Violet Rutherford is always looked upon as being more talented and braver than the Beaver. Ward has to work with Fred in Mayfield and that is usually enough to provoke him. But when Fred shows up unannounced at the Cleaver home with advice or putting Ward's sons down, he gets uptight. But he never loses his temper nor composure. Ward loves his boys and that's all that counts in the end...
