Even though I still don't tolerate what Nazi's did, they either shot a jew, or they would be shot themselves, Hitler's motto was simply this, "Kill, under penalty of death." ;-) Excellent Rob! 555! :-)
WCJ, the vast majority of German armed forces were NOT members of the Nazi Party at all- they were ordinary Germans. However, Hitler made not only the SS swear loyalty to him personally (instead of the Fatherland), but the German Army also. The Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine were divided. The Luftwaffe was annoyed with Goering and Hitler due to cancelling or botching their best aircraft and weapons while the Kriegsmarine was largely anti-Nazi and resented that Hitler wanted to scrap the surface fleet while not providing enough U-boats to strangle Britain and win the N Atlantic War. Amazing that Hitler chose GrAdm Doenitz as second Fuhrer, but at least he did not betray him like Himmler and Goering had!!! Despite all this, the Germans by themselves killed more people in history than in all the wars combined. So when people say religion has killed the most in wars, that's utter nonsense. Religion had nothing to do with German aggression of the Kaiser and Hitler or the German people. Nazism isn't a religion, but a dangerous ideology mixed with the German Prussian military tradition built on an occult Thule foundation. Its symbology is Satanic and endures... sad, but still true. Even "Mein Kampf" still sells...
