The Lyrics

A cornucopia of drama breaks open during this dinner-table love triangle. There will be butter.
[Turkey]
Now I’m done thinking we’re one of the same feather
Although you said you felt so bird-like you could fly.
The other chicks said you weren’t right for me
That you could never love a plump turkey
They said you’re tough but I said “No, this one is tender.”

Gobble gossip grew to reach a deaf’ning peak of madness
So in the public we’d pretend, always pretend.
Then in the moonlight we would make amends
Away from glares of other denizens
But then one night you caught a hint, the scent of butter...

You didn’t have to carve me up!
Take out my internal organs to make room for stuffing.
I guess all humans need to sup
But you could’ve spared a pardon ‘til the times got tough.

Or give the chicken coop a go!
Have your hens collect their eggs then make a breakfast supper.
You'd have to eat it on your own
'Cuz now I’m just some poultry that you used to bone.

Now I’m just some poultry that you used to bone...
Now I’m just some poultry that you used to bone.

[Corn Cob]
I recall I told a joke that had us doubled over
You said "you’re so corny" then I said "I’m gonna freakin pop."
We could’ve made a sweet baybay
Colonel Giblets that would be her name.
I’d take it back if I’d have known
That so soon I’d find you flustered by
some human that you used to bone!

[Turkey]
You didn’t have to carve me up!
Take out my internal organs to make room for stuffing.
I guess all humans need to sup
But you could’ve spared a pardon ‘til the times got tough.

Or give the chicken coop a go!
Have your hens collect their eggs then make a breakfast supper
I know you're gonna die alone
'Cuz now I’m just some poultry that you used to bone

[x2]
Some poultry!
You used to bone
Not funny!
Now I’m just some poultry that you used to bone

You used to bone...
That you used to bone...
You used to bone...
Some poultry.

A strangely poetic parody here, fun to read. But that is problematic, because this would make absolutely no sense without your note about the corncob, or in a performance without props or funny costume. I dont know if you write with that thought in mind (I dont, but some do here at AIR), but otherwise a well done parody.

I'm glad I'm not the only freak who writes parodies about boning farm animals: http://www.amiright.com/parody/2000s/nellyftkellyrowland0.shtml

(ABC) I'll be honest and say I was confused with this one. Was the turkey friends with the human, or were they actually shagging? The use of the word "bone" wasn't clear as to what it meant. And what's with the corncob's verse? Wouldn't it have made more sense for the human the turkey is talking to to sing that verse? Interesting idea, and the pacing was near perfect, but in execution you kinda fell a bit flat. And to repeat the chorus in a relatively short song wasn't a good move, IMO. I must've missed this "note" that Agri mentioned, that'd might've helped make the parody make more sense. Wow, I wrote a lot more than I usually do.

(ABC) Bizarre, but strangely likable and funny. Good job!

I definitely see how confusion could arise with just the lyrics as a reference. I imagined that the corn cob became friends with the turkey as they were sitting on the dinner table, waiting to be served to the human who betrayed the turkey. Then again, I also planned to make a video, which might have cleared up some of the ambiguity. Thanks for the feedback!

I just found this, intrigued by your comment "served to the human who betrayed the turkey". I'm glad I came for a look, very enjoyable :)
