I never thought that it'd be a worldwide phenomenon
All it seemed to me was exchanging farm animals and land

I logged onto my Facebook
And I could swear that Farmville updates flooded my dear News Feed
My friends all succumbed to Farmville Fever

How many times can I look at your profile and not scream?
I hate to say this, but I don't care that you're up two levels.

Farmville's spreading across my News Feed
And it's spreading much more rapidly as I sing this
I may have to start unfriending ya'll
Don't want to succumb to Farmville Fever

My work ethic starts to dwindle as I revise my Facebook friends list, but
No matter what I do I see that another friend purchased some crops

They found golden farming tools
That they would not have found if they didn't stay home that night

I hope that the victims' computers crash
As they're sweet-talking farmers into buying some sheep
Don't want to hear of that game again
Will not succumb to Farmville Fever

I've tried my best to block all Farmville updates from seeping through
And I never clicked on that button, never gave in
'Til my closest friend in the world
Sent me a request to be her only Farmville neighbor

I squandered my Facebook credits on crops
I sweet-talked some farmers into buying sheep from me
Jumped up and down when I advanced levels
Guess I, too, succumbed to Farmville Fever
