For those of us old enough to remember "Reach out an touch him" is an unmistakable reference to the AT&T Slogan "Reach out and touch someone" an advertizing campaign launched in 1979. Back when Phones rang, had cords and never left your house and quite a few years before the widespread popularity and availability of the personal home computer. Just after we discovered fire.
