The Lyrics

Several miles from home, on the local seashore
I like sunbathing but, sunscreen is such a chore

I realize, I am bright red scarlet, 'specially on my tan neck
I stand up to the sky and, scream words worse than "heck"

I'm swearing at the sun, I'm a screaming boy now, when will it end, I'm standing on the beach, on more day, now, I want to leave

My mouth is open wide, and sand crabs are inside, I am having no fun,l I blame it on the sun, I'm swearing at the sun, I'm standing on the beach, with seagulls over me

Get neosporin to make the, sunburn temporary, slap some more on my back and, don't mind that it is hairy,

I was the one truly there and, I forgot to bring sun tan cream, now it is even more life-like, I'll swim in the cold sea

I'm swearing at the sun, I'm standing in the sea, my mouth is open wide, it's getting hard to breathe, I say words worse than "heck", as I wade in the sea, the sun is over me (3x)

You're swearing at the sun, you're standing in the sea (2x)
