The Lyrics

Stimpy:
You know I'm down on the road, tryin' to loosen my soul,
I've got seven dollars on my mind:
four for a burger, two for a hot dog,
one for a can of Sprite.

Make it cheesy, Make it cheesy,
don't let the sound of your own stomach drive you crazy.
Pack a sub while you still can, don't even buy a Peter Pan,
just tell a man at a hot dog stand to make it cheesy.

Well, I'm a standin' on a border of Texas and Oklahoma
and such a fine TV:
it's Kermit, my Lord, on NBC 4
slowin' down at the Florida Keys.
Come on, Kermit, don't be a hermit.
I gotta know if my own money is gonna save it.
You may lose and You may win but you will never be on again.
So sign me up, I'm joinin' in, so make it cheesy.

Well, I'm down on the road, tryin' to loosen my soul,
got a world of money on my mind.
Munchin' on a Jimmy with a picnic cover,
McDonalds too hard to find.

Make it cheesy, Make it cheesy,
don't let the sound of your own stomach drive make you crazy.
Come on, Kermit, don't be a hermit.
I gotta know if my own money is gonna save it.

Oooooo,Oooooo,Ooooo,Oooooo,

Oh, we got it easy,
we oughta make it cheesy.
Oh, Yeah

Not bad, but...Travis Tritt? The Eagles did this in '71! It would be different if the cover version was better known, but no one, not even Tritt, thinks of this as his song first. Great first verse, though.
