The Lyrics

When it bleeds it squirts with heartbeat spurts
And my neck hurts
I’m feeling groggy, my insides are dry
I get the hang of hunger pangs
I sink my fangs
into the ones I love before they say goodbye

And as I sleep inside this coffin
I can see you in my nightmares that won’t seem to let me go

There’s vampires in the night
Something tells me they’re after me
And I can’t set them all alight
And my mortal soul is lost
The pain tells me they’re biting me
And I can never hug my wife again I fear

Old enemies I wanna slay
And I can’t go out in the day
A body prone on the kitchen floor
I hadn’t bit before
Every sunrise that I’ll miss
Due to long nights in undead bliss
Then I turn into a bat and I fly away

And as I sleep inside this coffin
I have now become a monster that I thought was make believe

Those vampires in the night
Thought it funny to torture me
I’m now allergic to sunlight
Endless night at a cost
Features pale tell others to flee
An accent screws up what I say

Sometimes I am upside down or spinning ‘round
or just plain overhead
Because it feels like it’s impossible to fly
But when I’m calm I spread my wings
Squeak sonar over everything
And when I find you, then I charm you, and stare into your eyes

When I feel like there’s no one
That I’m way too greedy
There you are to feed me

Vampires in the night
Decided then to play with me
Like a toddler with his food
And now I feel like some Thai
Maybe pizza delivery
And I can bring them to the undead brotherhood

Vampires in the night
something tells me they’re here with me
And I don’t really think they’re here to drink a beer
I have the urge to say “blah”
Watch films with Bela Lugosi
His death can always choke me and bring me a tear

Thanks Johnny D and Yoidy. And as I'm finding more and more often, the music video I found through youtube did not exactly match my CD cut. The next to last verse above (the one with "pizza delivery") is skipped.

You should try this to Sinatra's "Strangers in the Night".

Some really good lines in here, Wolverine. My faves were "An accent screws up what I say" and "Squeak sonar over everything". When you look, it's three fives...

(ABC3V) Creepy rather than LOL funny, Wolfy, but most cool anyway. 555
