The Lyrics

Last night I went to bed not talkin',
'Cause I was tired to move my mouth.
I grabbed a mag, and turned the pages,
It made me laugh my butt off.

In the making lotza years now.
It might be something like 21.
I read MAD real quick this mornin'.
Funnies are ready if you want them.
I've read them all night, thinkin' bout me and you.
And I've got to tell you the conclusion I've come to.

It'll never leave, It'll never stray.
My love for comics will never change.
But I ain't ready to finish,
I'm almost near the end.
Read SPY VS. SPY, I think you're wrong.
I won't get to the fold-in before long.
Newman makes me smile.
I just wanna read MAD for a while.

Well, now you might as well subscribe it.
Sports Illustrated ain't that great.
Yeah, that's right, Reader's Digests' pretty old.
And Rolling Stones is so second-rate.

I'm gonna leave this work,
Without a funny limmerick.
But as I'm drivin' off,
Just remember this.

I just wanna read MAD for a while.
I just wanna read MAD for a while.
I just wanna read MAD for a while.

i cant really vote on the this parody, cause i dont know the original song, but I must say, I am a life long Mad reader (i think my Dad bought me my first mad magazine when I was 7), and Ive read Mad ever since, but it has truely gone downhill in the past 3 years, even before they added ads. Theyre just not that funny anymore

I agree with Billy on the magazine. The song is pretty good though (and I know the original, so I can vote on it)
