Parody Song Title:

"Invite (Boring Party)"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I haven't been to a party this bad and I hopefully never will...
I snooze
When you bring out the cheese
Oh man…
Cleaning grime
Would put me more at ease
So lame…

Spent a dime
On all the home décor
It blew!
So I grieve
Because you’re such a bore

Thanks for the invite
This is so dim
You didn’t buy booze
Drinking tap water

But you’re my work buddy
So I can’t leave
Cause then I would seem rude
But this makes me sleep dude

It’s a crime
To not have a Playstation or Game Cube
Forced to taste
Your cooking that’s so bad
What’s this goo?!?!

Your wind chimes
No Sublime… Cut the tension
Music died
Such a waste
Of time not having fun

So thanks for the invite
You’ll see no grins
This party I boo
Worst one all summer

Cause it’s just so boring
Warning: Don’t come
Won’t even play Clue
Chess or Sudoku

Brain is slime
Nerves have fried, Entertainment it ain’t in sight
What’s the deal?
Model trains, circus clowns those would be Zen

So I lie
As I pick up my phone
And pretend
To speak a conversation to just escape

Won’t accept your invite
In the trash bin
I’m thinking “Screw you!”
Last time was torture

But Facebook surprised me
Your party’s a blast
Home’s covered in shampoo
Green Day was there too

(SOTM) Great twist at the end, but I'd rather stay home on a Friday night sorting my socks in the drawer than attend that first party described! :-)

(SOTM) Ha ha! What an ass! He throws a party for you that makes an Amish birthday party look like Jay-Z's... and THEN he has a party that makes Jay-Z's birthday bash look like an Amish birthday party. Great song choice, too. But I have to disagree about not having a Playstation or the like... or else I'd be in jail. I only have a Nintendo 64 that I don't think works anymore. Too strapped for cash for a new system, and I'm worried about the system being obselete in a year or two. Here's a 555-star party for you: With Psy, Christopher Nolan, Green Day, AC/DC, Neil Young, Steven Spielberg, Bruce Campbell, and Robert Englund.

Oct SOTM - OL, I particularly liked "As I pick up my phone, And pretend, To speak a conversation to just escape", and as with Chris above, appreciated the ending :)

I also support the twist at the end, and found this to be a good use of the OS. Nice work Matty.

(SOTM) Was the party as dreary as the OS? The first party, not the second one that proves the universe is dicking with you. Great parody here, 555!

(SOTM) That party couldn't have been as big a crime as that OS. That lead singer should have made better use of those piercings to pierce some of those zits. As for the parody, I especially liked the line about not being able to leave 'cus it was a work buddy. Could be worse though. The people I work with force me to go to weddings and baby showers...

Man, I really do not like the OS...too slow and boring for me...but I guess that makes it a good reference for this spoof. Great work!

(SOTM) I definitely agree that this OS is dull, but the parody was solid. Funny situation and good lies and pacing. Not over the top funny, but still very good.

SOTM...nothing worse than a boring party...but if it inspired this parody, it can't have been that bad. haha. Nice solid job, Matty!
