The Lyrics

Oh I wish I were a protester with anger in my head
In 2000 and zero 9 recession is in the air
I’ve no credit limit, cos the banks don’t wanna share
Oh I wish there was a protest here with anger everywhere

When the banks ask the prime minister
Can we borrow more from the treasurer?
Were running out of money cos we lent to much it
The accountants do not have control
And they’ve left a big financial hole
Cos the prices of homes is dropping and that’s negative equity.

Oh I wish I were a protester with anger in my head
In 2000 and zero 9 a recession is in the air
I’ve no credit limit, cos the banks don’t wanna share
Oh I wish there was a protest here with anger everywhere

Un-employment is at a record high
And the dole list could’ve touched the sky
and all companies around the world are deciding they should quit
It’s impossible to get a job
And bankers are a bunch of snobs
With taxpayer’s money banks now have they still won’t part with it

Oh I wish I were a protester with anger in my head
In 2000 and zero 9 a recession is in the air
I’ve no credit limit, cos the banks don’t wanna share
Oh I wish there was a protest here with anger everywhere

So what of great Britain now
Someone needs to tell us how
How a bunch useless bankers are gonna give back everything
We might all vote the Tories in
To try make sense of everything
Cos Banks and labour government cant manage anything

Oh I wish I were a protester with anger in my head
In 2000 and zero 9 a recession is in the air
I’ve no credit limit, cos the banks don’t wanna share
Oh I wish there was a protest here with anger everywhere

Oh I wish I were a protester with anger in my head
In 2000 and zero 9 a recession is in the air

This tells all about the poor economy. I wonder if we're about to face another Great Depression soon. I believe it's getting close to it. I'm one of those people struggling to look for a permanent job because I temped jobs all my life. I also wonder if it's God punishing us for all the wrongs we did in this world. As a matter of fact we're punishing ourselves. Anyways, your song is clear and to the point. 555!
