The Lyrics

This is based on a news event that made me sick. Basically, The whole thing about the mothers must leave within 6 hours after having a baby in exchange for vouchers is absurd. In 2007, in Wellington, New Zealand, the hospitals there were out of hospital beds due to a pandemic, so they forced the new mothers to leave the maternity wards. I’m not sure if home births would work anyways. In the case of the song, all events are fake.
Gotta pack Jane's bed, get up and leave,
Now the twins come through
Nurses keep reminding me
They have no beds, we have to move

And it doesn't makes much sense
When you gave me a note:
It said “Take this, and leave, and get your free milk at home".

It's ridiculous
It's been 5 hours, since my wife had babies
Janey, don't get up
You're not strong enough to leave

Enough is enough
No more walking round, like a clueless clown
I don't want to be a fool, if Jane got sick and blue.

And I’m so sick of bribery
There's meant to be no tears
If she is sick next week,
“Sorry” won't cut this
Yes, we're poor and we're needy
But health's priority
So, why can't Jane dose off and go to sleep?

Wayne and her wife who is called Christine
3rd kid, Decemb. 15th.
Wants to stay home, bring out this kid
Having C-section on Christine.
He’s a surgeon down at Middlemore,
He did deliver me
When I was too early, but that's not his specialty

If that were true, will you sack him and sue him
Bad policy
You can't go wishing
Wayne stops doing this

If you wanted more babies,
Think about the ladies
Now, stop this stunt, and make some sense in this.

Now that Jane's gone (we both came home)
And Wayne must think of his call
Don't make me think about 'what now',
Or how Christine is now, I have to go.
Get this song to radios.

Cause I'm so sick of bribery
There's meant to be no tears
If Jane doesn't make it,
"Sorry" won't cut this
Say "I don't need free groceries
Health's priority”
At least Jane's dosing off and gone to sleep.

Please Wayne, think about the baby
Think about Christine
You are a doctor,
Will ethics let this?
Thanks for everything you did
In that emergency.
But now you can't again take this big risk.

And just no one benefits
From this bribery
I'm done with venting
Please, just stop this
Said I'm so sick of writing
This parody
But no one should endure what we just did.

Now I can turn off the audio.
