Moving again at twenty-three, I
Brought stuff in the car with me
The rest is inside the moving truck
A long way, I’ll get there with luck

I drove for miles and miles, and stopped at
The rest stops
And then on the turnpike I stopped at all the plazas

I don’t mind takin’ a break
Out there by the welcome sign for the state
And in the car I’ve brought all my files
To sort through them sure would take a while

Look for the car with open gas door, bought
Screwdriver if it does that more
I got spare keys in case lock myself out

I used to stash all of my food and games
In the file cabinet back in college
Sometimes water gallon would get a few ants
But nothing would break the handle hinge

Didn't mind spendin' everyday
Opening it so roommates won’t take
My food, look for it and it’s not there
Because it’s my stuff and I care
