"These Notes"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I dedicate this to Adam Levine, who cannot sing live. He does not reach the high notes in his own songs. I think that is pathetic. Please comment and let me know how you feel about it.
I'm tone deaf and I cannot recognize
the music notes my mommy writes
my talent's only in my mind
my voice sounds like a mangy cat in pain
is stuck down my throat again
but here comes the worst part:
oh,

chorus:
these notes are taking their toll on me
they are too high, too many octaves above
when I'm on stage you can always hear
that I have no choice
to lie and say that my throat is sore

whoa-whoa-whoa
whoa-whoa-whoa
whoa-whoa-whoa

in singing class I flunked every time
glad the teacher took my bribes
wasn't hard to knock my grades sky high
I play my part and still I gather fame
although my voice sounds lame
it's all part of my big plan

chorus

I'll fake that I can sing
and flap my chicken wings
can't mask flat notes when I sing live (I sing live! I sing live!)
I'm jumping up and down
cos I'm a nervous clown
I sing out of tune
but I know the studio will make do

chorus, repeat into fade

I've never heard Adam sing live, but I could appreciate the humour. Well written, decently paced 344

Thanks, DAK, er... The people let me off a little easily, it seems. I kinda thought this one would get me way more angry posts. Anyway, PuarToThaMax (who's sitting next to me), definitely did not like it, but didn't bother to vote. He gave me enough comments to my face, so I can imagine how he's rated me.

I saw Maroon 5 on Top of the Pops in April, and Adam Levine delivered a good performance of 'Must get out', close to what the record sounds like. He made me eat some of my words, although I still don't enjoy the sound of his voice in general. Well done, Adam, that was much better than your performance of 'This Love' in 2004. Oh, and Puar certainly is male, although his nick suggests otherwise. He was convinced the cartoon character was male, and never dropped his nickname after finding out the truth.
