The Lyrics

This is my attempt as a truly humorous attempt at this serious song. It says Luther Vandross but my favorite version is actually the country version by Kellie Coffey.
Back when I was a child,
When the Pussycat first opened up
My dad went there after work
Treasure would dance for him
Up on that pole and in that back room
She’s squeeze her tits hard against his face
Whip her hair hard back and forth
And he would make sure she was tipped

If she could give one more lap dance
Another show another night up there
She’d choose a stage that would never ever chose
Oh man she wishes, to dance for my daddy again

When my dad and the bouncer would disagree
ON his cutoff jeans and that cover charge
Treasure would vouch for him, lick his face and get him in
One day my daddy packed up his truck
Put one last song down in that jukebox
It was Georgia on His Mind

If she could give one more lap dance
In the VIP, drinking that French champaigne
She’s do a club that would never ever close
Damn how she’ll love
To dance for my daddy again

Sometimes I’ll take a walk down The Block
And I’d hear Treasure bitch bout her johns
Mister I know this is your club now
I know this ain’t our place anymore.

I know I ask for way too much
But could you let her back even for amateur night
I know you don’t do it usually
But my dad’s back in town
And man would she love
To dance for my daddy again

Every night she walks the streets and this is all she ever dreams
- amateur night is in some strip clubs when girls who normally don't work there can dance on stage for money The Pussycat is a real strip club in Baltimore, MD. The Block is an area of about 20 of so strip clubs in downtown Baltimore. Its next to both city hall and police headquarters. I'm sure many of the city council go there, as least the Democrats. To summarize this......this is about a stripper whose favorite, best tipping customer leaves town and stops going to her club is then taken over by new management. Now both the narrator and his father are back in town.
