Whenever my car would break down, to get some help I would call his auto shop
He'd fix it up just to comfort me, yeah yeah, then finally let me pay a special price for it
And when the thugs vandalized my car, he called the cops and he saved my car
Never dreamed that it would be gone from me, yeah

Sometimes I'd walk through the neighborhood, and I'd hear them, my friends, reminisce

I know I'm praying for much too much, but could you get back the only car I'd loved?
