Back when I was a child

When I wanted that one, my mom agreed
To get Nintendo at Wal-Mart on a 1/2 price sale
I turned it on, and I played it
Then played some Duck Hunt, Donkey Kong and some Mega Man
Just every night when I was asleep
I snuck controllers under my sheet
I would dream that I will just make it through

My mom just got, every game, The Zapper and The Power Glove for me
I play the games that would never, never end
'Cause I love, love, love to play with Nintendo again

I put in cartridge and closed the door
Then punched the button and started it
I played Metroid even more than it
I played Duck Hunt even more than it

Got A and B, 2 things i touch
And on my left, I control for such a way
I play some Genesis usually
If Bowser is dying, I'm playing Nintendo again

Every day, I turn it on and hear 'em just 'cause I don't sleep
