The Lyrics

Hopefully you all know the story of Chicken Little... If not, this parody will make no sense to you. Quick overview: Chicken Little was a young chick who, while walking one day, had a shell of a robin's egg fall at his feet. Due to it's blue color he mistook the eggshell as a piece of the sky. Which led him to believe that the sky was falling, and being the kind lad he was, he had to warn everyone of the impending apocalypse by running through town and screaming, "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!". This drove the whole town into a frenzy, but of course the sky was not falling, so the whole town was very angry with poor Chicken Little. He will now and forever be a cautionary tale of the consequences of jumping to conclusions.
Verse 1: No one knows what it’s like
To be the mad chick
Who played a “bad trick”
Of falling skies
And no one knows what it’s like
To be hated, and berated
For telling crazy lies

Chorus: But my aim was not so roguish
As my story sounds to be
I was honest, a sincere wish
The sky was falling!
Or so it seemed

Verse 2: No one knows what it’s like
To see these sightings
Like I saw, I saw it all!
No one believes my tale
Cuz it’s madness
None of my friends or foes
Will argue!

Chorus: But I swear I’m not that crazy!
As my story makes me seem
Hit by something, made me hazy
A piece of azure
Fell right on me

Bridge: Forgiveness, L-i-t-t-l-e
Forgiveness, L-i-t-t-l-e
Forgiveness, L-i-t-t-l-e
Forgiveness, L-i-t-t-l-e

Verse 3: No one knows what it’s like
To be mistaken, remain unshaken
By falling skies
No one know how to act
When there’s crisis, they start riots
Like from falling skies

Chorus: My mistake was one so epic
That they wrote a book on me
Chicken Little, perfect spec’men
I had some ev’dence
They are not lies

Outro: No one knows what it’s like
To be the sample, the example
No falling skies!

How cool Bladyeman! We wrote a Chicken Little parody too, but ours isn't released yet. I guess great minds think alike. ;) Although the version I always grew up with had all the various fowl joining Chicken Little in a quest to let the king know. Enter Foxy Loxy and everyone is dinner. I actually played Cocky Locky in a play in first grade, lol!

I liked this much better than that ridiculous Disney movie that turned out to be an alien invasion instead of the sky falling. Made a lot more sense than that movie did too and I didn't need to picture Chicken Little as some dorky kid with Buddy Holly glasses.

I was also expecting appearances from Loosey Goosey and Foxy Loxy. Matthias is right, Chicken Little stands with Home On the Range and The Princess and the Frog as the worst Disney fulllength animated theatrical films. But anyhow, this was an ok parody.

(Artistry) I liked the Chicken Little movie (but then again, I like Nickelback, so apparently I'm not a good judge of quality). Pretty good parody, although some of the lines felt a bit awkward. 555!

Cute! Fav line: "My mistake was one so epic / That they wrote a book on me".
