The Lyrics

We've all been on diets before, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Here's my diet parody. DKTOS? Here it is: YouTube - You Are A Pirate
Scale just displayed pounds of five-hundred three
Go on a diet!

Yar har, flabby are we
Going on diets is crazy to me!
Sizes of jeans goes to a hundred-and-three
You're on a diet!

You're on a diet! YEAH!

We've got us a plan (A PLAN!)
To fit into your skinny socks
You'll hold up on your chomps (YOUR CHOMPS!)
And throw the fat away

You'll go to the shops (THE SHOPS!)
You'll never buy that fat'ning pudding!
Just dropping some pounds
And feeling slim all day!

Yar har, piddley feast
If you love the salad green
You're on a diet!

NO PIZZA!

Yar har, tight are your jeans
Belts are so useless, your flubber is neat!
Eating McDonald's is taboo to me
You're on a diet!

Aye aye, you're losing your mass
Flattening down your gigantical @$$!
Fall out the window and break all the glass!
You're on a diet!

Hahahahaha! YEAH!

You're slimming away (SLIM DOWN!)
Your calories are being burned
You sit down to enjoy (ENJOY)
A bowl of salad, yay! (YAY!)

You've sunken the boat (THE BOAT!)
Your body doubled as an anchor
Then, feeling so bloat (LAY DOWN!)
You're gonna go to bed!

Yar, har, piddley feast
Chugging down the Slim-Fast drinks
You're on a diet!

SCALE BROKE!

Yar har, fattening feasts
Lead to your diet of starvation pleads!
Downing some pills like the Trim Spa is neat
You're on a diet!

YAR HAR! Shirt stretching from fat wherever you go!
Hot bod accomplished, your tastebuds feel gross
You've won the diet!

You're off the diet!
Hahahahaha........

'Weighing" in with some good points. But they made you gain 555!!!!

Diets are what I have to start going on. Although people see me as a thin person, my parents don't think I'm not as thin as I was when I was a teenager. Things I got to abstain from are sweets, Italian, Mexican, and Chinese food! Jenny Craig has nothing on you!! Here's the skinny: you lost 555 lbs with this one with a body fat of 5.55%!!

I would go from 503 to 103, but you lost over 5 pounds for writing this parody.

Did the guy from Spongebob Squarepants find another song to sing or something? lol Weird original song DJ but this was still a fun parody.

(ABC) I "weighed" in on this one earlier, and it's still just as funny!

(ABC) I wish my local pbs ran Lazy Town...OS reminded me of Flogging Molly (sorry BAD!). I wish you had changed the pudding to something else, but on the whole this was funny and great to sing(read) along with!

Eick. . .didn't care for OS much . . . sorry, that aside, the very first line rubbed me funny (pounds of five hundred three) because if sang--it would just sound so weird. . .size of jeans goes to one hundred three, I mean it kinda makes the whole song sound schizophrenic, which isn't necessarily a bad thing if the song is about a schizophrenic, but you get the jist. Personal rule of thumb, sacrificing grammar for humor or rhyming is OK only so long as it can still be arguably applied to conversation, as it's used here I'm afraid it can't, and as a recording artist, I am obligated to point it out. Good idea, but I'd work on finding ways to make your ideas fit the song better--because if you have to sing something that grammatically wrong in order to make it work, then it doesn't work, sorry for taking up so much space, it's just you have potential, you just need to be careful, that's all

I was half expecting the song to break into the techno remix of "You Are An Idiot" - glad that didn't happen. A few missed rhymes, but well paced and funny.

(ABC5) I was half expecting the song to break into the jingle for Captain Birdseye (a brand of...something, crumbed fish I think), but maybe that's just me being mad again. Cool parody, 555 etc etc

(ABC) Personal note: I'm so broke I can't afford to buy food, and I lost some five pounds this week--maybe even eight pounds! Where did you find this song! Yo-ho-ho and a 555!
DJ Blaze @ Melanie Lee - December 20, 2009 - Report this comment
Melanie, this song is from the Nick Jr. show "LazyTown", but the song became popular on the internet after it was used in a flash video featuring a anime character in a pirate suit doing the wave while "lol limewire" is displayed at the top. Thanks to everyone!
