The Lyrics

I had to watch “ Stephen King’s Misery” (I hope everyone still remembers that movie) just to write about this parody. This song is inspired by that movie, and told by Paul Sheldon’s POV. Here’s the link to Lady Gaga's Bad Romance. This will be my Decathlon Round 10 parody. I should feel that I’m all Gaga’d out by now, but I don’t.
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooh!
Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Falling down to my death
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooh!
Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Is this really my end?

Slid, slipped, lost my grip
Skid down off that cliff
Slicked ice I had tripped
I’m an injured man

Bounced, bounced goes my car
Smashed, crashed plunged down far
Saved by CPR
By a nursing fan

I was a writer
But now paralyzed
Got cared by some girl whom
I thought I found nice
Had a dark side
(Had a dark, sadistic side)

(Hey!)

I’m now a cripple
Confined to a bed
Nursed by a lady who’s
Not right in the head
She’s got me trapped
(Oh my God, she’s really snapped!)
(Oh my God, she’s really snapped!)

Don’t want to release me
She intends to just keep me
Imprisoned in a fan romance

She read my novel
But was caught in a rage
Cuz she don’t like no profanity

Whoa-whoa-whoa

Convinced me to
Bring “Misery” back to life
Or she’ll drive into insanity

Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooh!
Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Nursed by that twisted fan
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooh!
Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Stuck with that psychopath

What a crazy b**ch
Annie’s such a witch
Crass, vile, twisted b**ch
What a psychopath

A real-life horror
My nightmare of fright
I’m just a prisoner
I’ve picked a bad time
To break my legs
(A wrong time to break my legs)

(Ohhh..)

She’s such a psycho
Her temper’s intense
She has a knack
To resort more violence
She needs some help
(Oh my God, she needs some help!)
(Oh my God, go get some help!)

She constantly drugs me
Why does she want to hurt me?
(Annie):
(Cuz you’re a dirty birdy!)
I’m victim of
That psycho fan

Create diversions
By sending her errands
And escape from that obsessive fan

Whoa-whoa-whoa

I planned to drug her
And to knock her out cold
To escape from that possessive fan

Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooh!
Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Got to escape from here
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooh!
Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Need to get out of here

All doors had been locked
Got to pick the lock
Hairpin fit the lock
I fear she’ll come back

Oh, no, she found out
That I had been out
Of bed, it’s no doubt
She’s got a new plan

Drug, drug
She injects me
Struck me with that needle, crazy
Stuck wood
‘Tween my ankles
She is such a freak b**ch, crazy
Smack, smack
Breaks my ankles
She is such a freak witch, crazy
Crack, crack
Split my ankles
She is such a freak b**ch, crazy

I want her blood
And I want some revenge
I want her dead
I want her life to end
Quiero su sangre
Y quiero venganza
La quiero muerto
I want her life to end

Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooh!
Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
I need to pay her back
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooh!
Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Came up with a great plan

Burned her new novel
And she started to go insane
My throat she starts to grasp

Whoa-whoa-whoa

I poked her eyes out
Her whole face starts to bleed
Now I’ve finally got my revenge

Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooh!
Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Stuffed pages in her mouth
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooh!
Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh
Tripped and got her knocked out

Fell flat on her face
Then I smacked her face
With a statue base
She’s finally brain dead

Very fine synopsis of the story
Andria - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
Excellent job retelling this great Stephen King story, and 5s.
2Eagle - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
Good. Now what can you do with "Deliverance"?
Christie Marie M - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks, AFW, Andria, and 2Eagle! :)

AFW - Glad you enjoyed. I tried my shot at it, not to mention the fact that I pulled an all nighter with this song.

Andria - "Misery" is one of my fave Stephen King films and novel. In the novel version, it's more graphic and violent.

2Eagle - "Deliverance" is one of the most renowned films of 1972. I would do one on that film, except haven't watched the movie and don't know well enough about it to write a parody about .Thanks for the suggestion, though. That's an idea for you!
Mark Scotti - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
"Hobbling" you fives, Christie. Great job!
Matthias - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
"Deliverance" would be a good sub of "Bad Romance" kinda like the redneck version of it. This was great Andria although I've never read the book nor seen the movie, I love the original song.
Phil Nelson - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
Another parody of Lady Googoogaga. Anyway, much better than the original, and very original stuff
Christie Marie M - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks Mark, Matthias, and Phil! :)

Mark - "Hobbling" you thanks! Glad you enjoyed!

Matthias - I agree with you 100% on "Deliverance" being the good sub of this OS. Wished that I had thought of it sooner. BTW, about this line in your comment: "This was great [Andria] although I've never read the book nor seen the movie, I love the original song.", I'm Christie and I was the one who wrote the parody. Andria did hers on "Guts", which she did an awesome job on! I also loved the original song, too. Last week I broke down and bought Gaga's "Fame Monster" CD.

Phil - Spoofing Gaga is what I do best. As a matter of fact, this is my fourth Gaga parody. And this is one of the hardest OS's to spoof and as I've mentioned before, I pulled an all nighter last night, writing this parody!
Fiddlegirl - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
We *know* you can write brand new parodies, CMM: We're your number one fans!! ;) (mwahahaha) 555

This isn't the first time my name has been used in reference to CMM's comments and parodies. While we look nothing alike and have a few differences, we DO have quite a bit in common. :-) Thanks for clearing this up, Christie.
Christie Marie M - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks Fiddlegirl and Andria (again)! :)

Fiddlegirl - LOL! Right back at you! In that case, I'm glad to be writing again. Truth is, when I worked on this parody last night, I kind of rushed into it, but still revised and corrected the words. Sometimes parody writing can be very difficult because it's like trying to fit the correct pieces of a 1000 piece puzzle. I'm touched to hear that you're my #1 fan! I remembered that line like yesterday from that movie!

CMM @ Andria - You're welcome! I concur with you that it isn't the first time your name used in reference to my comments.
Christie Marie M - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
Correction: From my last comment to Matthias, it should be "I was the one who wrote 'this' parody" instead of "the parody".
Andria - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
(Decathlon Part 3 Round 10) Already commented, listened, decided what to vote and gave 5s, not to mention clearing up a bit of confusion as seen in the above comments, but this was excellent and blends the brilliance and horror of Stephen King's works with Lady Gaga's OS and Christie's parodying expertise.
Matthias - March 08, 2010 - Report this comment
Oh snap! My bad Christie! That's what I meant....
Tommy Turtle - March 09, 2010 - Report this comment
I don't think I like this "Decathlon", since it seems to be a "Death-lon" -- too much Kill and Gore in the world already. (uh, no offense, Andria ;).
DKTOS; DK movie or novel, and although DK much about L. Gaga, I'll have something to say about that in Tuesday's posting - if it shows. Just glad to see you writing again!

I'll trust all these sick, psycho, blood-and-guts-loving fans of the genre as far as the pacing and synopsis of story, and give you Fives for a good stab. ("stab" -- oh, I "kill: me! ... uh, wait, that's a gory metaphor...)
P. S. - March 09, 2010 - Report this comment
Everyone always talks about "sex and violence". If that's a choice, I'll take (a). :-)
Christie Marie M - March 09, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks to Andria and Matthias again and TT! :)

Andria - Thank you thrice! :) :) :) Yeah, I try! You're also a great parody writer, too! As a matter of fact, I also would think that Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back" would also work well with this same subject also.

Matthias - That's quite all right! :) No problem. I also make the same mistake few times. As a matter of fact, there's this one time I almost mentioned your name in reference to BAD's parodies and comments and vice versa. Thanks for commenting again!

TT - Yeah, I hear you. This parody contest ought to be called "Death-lon" since most of these parodies for this Decathlon pertain to violence and horror! At first, I thought that I was going to use Norman Bates for this OS or about marital abuse. Thanks for v/c and how do you come up with the most spectacular puns and catchphrases? I always enjoyed them!...Now on to writing my next parody for the Madonna Artistry round!
TT - March 09, 2010 - Report this comment
It comes naturally -- I think that means that I'm sick, too... ;)

Thanks, Abbott! :)...This was a hard OS to do and "Misery" is the one of my fave Stephen King movies next to "Christine" (my name) LOL!! Thanks for commenting! Glad you enjoyed!

Sorry it took so freakin' long to comment this. Great job on a particularly tough OS. If I was in that situation, I'd probably either:

A. RUN AWAY!
B. Scream real loud!
or C. CROSS CHANGER!

LOL, I'm still a Jetman nerd. 555
Christie Marie M - March 21, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks, DJ! :)...Nice to hear from you again! A tough OS indeed, but I took a good "stab" on it! If I were to choose the choices from one of your comments, I would choose C (if only James Caan in the movie would've thought about that too! LOL!), although I would eventually do B anyways. LOL at being a Jetman nerd! CROSS CHANGER!!!
bobpiecheese - March 21, 2010 - Report this comment
(Dec3) Stephen King and Lady GaGa...not a combo you'd see every day. There's certainly enough crazy in the Bad Romance video to make the choice of Misery make some kind of sense. 555!
Arwen - March 22, 2010 - Report this comment
Decathlon. Love this. First off...I pretended that I was going to do this OS when we first got the assignment...but it was too hard for my brain. Kudos for your success. =) Secondly, Misery was the first Stephen King book I ever read and loved...so kudos again. Excellent work!
Christie Marie M - March 23, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks to bob/Conqueror and Arwen! :)

bobpie (T-COP) - At first I didn't realize that the "Bad Romance" video would somewhat relate to "Misery" in a way. Yeah, at first it felt weird that I would combine Stephen King and Gaga....and I can't imagine James Caan singing to a Gaga song, either.

Arwen - Yep, this song is indeed one of the most hardest OS' to parody. It was too hard for my brain, but I'm glad I managed to pull it off. I kind of rushed through this parody to be honest, but I cleaned up in most parts, just barely. I also love the movie but haven't read the book yet, my friend who read it told me a little about it though.

Again, thanks for v/c, guys. Glad you enjoyed! :)

Ok, well, I love the OS, and I think that you had a very fun idea to it ( I love Stephen King's Misery) but I had some problems to point out. Your changing of the Ga-ga-ra-ah-ah ended up being kinda, forced, it was hard to work. The pacing as a hole felt unnatural--it met syllables but was hard to sing. Also Lady Gaga is a tricky little writer, she often uses internal or switched up rhyme scheme which were missed in the parody. . .hey it happens, Lady Gaga is a deceptively hard person to parody, I still haven't finished any Gaga parodies (yet--that will change I promise) but great idea, love the song--love the book/movie it was based on, but needed more time for editing--particularly in the ga-ga-ra-ah-ah parts

Thanks lots, Abbott, Mark, and BA Dave! :)

Abbott - Need ice? LOL! Glad you enjoyed this the second time.

Mark - I may need to get some ice for your ankles, too, or maybe an ace bandage. LOL! Also glad you enjoyed this the second time as well.

Dave - As for pointing out problems, I appreciate your honesty and constructive criticism. I also felt I forced the pacing and should've found the time to edit this parody a lot more. I also rushed this parody when I wrote this. Sorry, I just couldn't find the time to commit myself to write here a lot (no excuse). But I'm going to continue working a lot harder but won't promise to write a perfect satire. I'll also learn from you and other parody authors as well. This was also one of the toughest OS' that I ever worked on. Hope to someday read your Gaga parodies. OK, enough about all this. I'm glad you enjoyed my parody and v/c.
Matthias - August 01, 2010 - Report this comment
Lady Gaga is catchy and fun but tough as nails to parody and although I'm a bit out of the loop not reading the book or seeing the movie that it was based on I still need to say this was pretty catchy and all together fun.

(ABC M & N) Great as always... oddly enough, I have a copy of "Misery", the novel, on the table by my easy chair, not touched for months, I'll have to get back into that one.

Agri - Nice to see you agree with all comments above! Yeah, integral indeed, though I wished I could've worked a little harder on this satire. Glad you enjoyed!

Andria - Great to see you again and commenting for the 4th time, but who's counting? Also, interesting that you have a copy of 'Misery'. I myself haven't watched the movie in ages. Well, if you read the book, hope you enjoy it. And glad you enjoyed my parody once again! We'll see each other again...soon!

You could just feel the ankles break when she hit Paul Neuman and broke them to keep him hostage. Fine write and a great follow along to the movie. I like this.
