The Lyrics

A tribute to an unknown, unpopular actor. This is a revamped version of his tribute compared to the one I wrote back in 2007. For those who don’t know who he is, he is a Canadian actor well known to play villains, cops, and FBI agents in some movies (mostly indie films) and TV shows. The first time I realized that I had a crush on him was when I first saw him on “Daddy Day Camp”. He starred alongside with the Wayans Bros. in ‘White Chicks”, “Little Man”, and “Scary Movie”. He also made his debut in other movies such as “Dead Man on Campus” and “Freddy vs. Jason”. In spite of his sardonic antics I’ve noticed, I still idolize him. For more info on Lochlyn Munro, here’s the link to his IMDB and/or Wiki. Also, here’s the OS to Lady Gaga's Alejandro. This may sound kind of weird that I'm praising and bashing him at the same time.
(Dramatic Violin Solo Intro)

(Spoken):
You’re looking quite so young
Even though you’re in your forties
But why won’t they cast you in movies anymore,
Lochlyn Munro?

(Techno-Pop Beat, as dramatic violins continue)

(Oh oh oh oh oh oh…oh oh oh…oh oh)
(Oh oh oh oh oh oh…oh oh oh…oh oh)

Before showbiz
He played hockey
He broke his leg in two [1]
His fate was cruel
He played villains
So supercilious
He’s got a real sly sense of humor
He’s no fool

Quite a rugged handsome boy
Straight from Lac La Hache, oh, joy [2]
Such a wild, notorious dude
Got quite a ‘tude [3]

Unknown his name,
He lacks of fame
Lochlyn Munro
I’ve gone insane
Right in the brain
For Munro
I wanna kiss
That hot Canuck [4]
Just to meet him would be my luck
But it’s a shame
He’s got a dame
Called Sharon

Lochlyn Munro, Lochlyn Munro
Lochlyn, Lochlyn Munro
Lochlyn, Lochlyn Munro
Lochlyn Munro, Lochlyn Munro
Haughty Lochlyn Munro
Naughty Lochlyn Munro

(Cliff O'Malley quote):
“My name’s Cliff, brother of Joe
Got me some crack, want me some h*s!” [5]

Law abiding
As cop or agent
Played some roles where he’s not bad
How about that?
Better fitting, as a hero
But I like him quite just fine
Whether good or bad

Husky build and high-pitched voice
Straight from Canada, rejoice
At this point, he cured my blues
Nothing to lose

To hear his name
Rack through my brain
Lochlyn Munro
Go get some fame
Go charm some dames
Sir Munro
Don’t wanna miss
His indie films
The sight of him’s hard to resist
Made quite a change
His former name:
Rick Munro [6]

Lochlyn Munro, Lochlyn Munro
Petty Lochlyn Munro
Sexy Lochlyn Munro
Lochlyn Munro, Lochlyn Munro
Cunning Lochlyn Munro
Stunning Lochlyn Munro

Go capture me,
And throw the key
Lochlyn Munro
I did not feel
Like cooling heels
Like on death row
Wished I’m his wife
A friend for life,
Lochlyn Munro
Cuz’ he’s so rad
I’ve got it bad
For Munro

Best known to sneer
Well known to jeer
Lochlyn Munro
Worked Luthor’s brain
On “Smallville” fame:
Orlando
Canadian bliss
That thought's too much
For an actor down on his luck
But made a name
With “White Chicks” fame
Wayans Bros.

Lochlyn Munro, Lochlyn Munro
Wily Lochlyn Munro
Witty Lochlyn Munro
Lochlyn Munro, Lochlyn Munro
Shady Lochlyn Munro
Crazy Lochlyn Munro

Unknown his name, he lacks of fame
(Lochlyn Munro, Lochlyn Munro)
Lochlyn Munro
A little vain, but still insane
(Sneering Lochlyn Munro, Jeering Lochlyn Munro)
For Munro
I wanna kiss, that hot Canuck, just to meet him would be my luck
(Lochlyn Munro, Lochlyn Munro)
Hope he’ll gain fame, I’ll have him named
(Funny Lochlyn Munro, Cunning Lochlyn Munro)
My hero…Lochlyn Munro
[1] His leg injury thwarted his dreams of participating in the NHL.
[2] Lac La Hache, British Columbia, Canada- Lochlyn’s hometown.
[3] A shortened version of “attitude”.
[4] Canuck – a Canadian.
[5] Quoting Cliff O’Malley (his role as a crazed, suicidal frat boy) from the movie “Dead Man On Campus”.
[6] Richard Laughlain Munro is his birth name. When he made his debut as a guest appearance on a few episodes of “21 Jump Street”, he was credited by that name. He is also nicknamed as “Ricky Bun”.

His birthday just passed a few weeks ago. He just turned 44.

Wow, great tribute, Christie! He should be more well known after this!

Thanks, Mark! :)...LOL!! I'm sure he would. I just wished that he starred more on big screen type of films other than independent films.
NOTE: I'd like to change the line from "Cunning Lochlyn Munro" to "Macho Hombre Munro". I should've known to proofread it more often.

HEY A CMM Work! Dunno the actor but good tribute none the less :)
Christie Marie M - February 22, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks, SamMaster! :)...Yeah, not everybody has known or heard of him. That's understandable. I have the feeling that I'm the only one who's heard of him. The only fans of his are myself and 2 of my friends from my MySpace.

DKTOS at all... I must be getting old! Perhaps as old as Lochlyn Munro... I *know* I'm a good deal more obscure. ;)
DJ Blaze - February 22, 2010 - Report this comment
No surprise that I don't know the actor, but a well-written work worthy of a 555. Heck, if a tribute to a little-known actor will get this many comments, I should do a tribute to a Sentai actor/actress!
Christie Marie M - February 22, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks to Fiddlegirl and DJ Blaze! :)

Fiddlegirl - I hear you! Very obscure OS and subject, er, actor. I thought that I would post it for fun. I got into this song a whole lot and both the OS and actor name had quite a ring to it, so this just came to me...Wait a sec, you can't be as old as Lochlyn Munro, although he still has his luster (youth, looks)! I also did post links for OS and his info on the top comments.

DJ - Glad you enjoyed my parody, even though you haven't heard of him. At first, I didn't think that I wouldn't get much comments on this. I could also imagine you doing a tribute of a Sentai actor/actress someday, such as Kotaro Tanaka, and/or Rika Kishida, or another Sentai parody perhaps.

Any relation to Marilyn..no, I guess not...Interesting theme
Christie Marie M - February 22, 2010 - Report this comment
Thanks, AFW! :)...LOL!! Not at all, and he's definitely not related to Matt Monro, either! Glad you enjoyed it!

44? That's *ancient* -- no wonder I've never heard of him! ;) ... nice tribute brings him to 55.5.

ROFLMO (Rolling on the floor, Lochlyn Mun-ro Off )... but what's with all the *footnotes*? :) :) :) (j/k!) -- nice to see you writing again!

Cool tribute

Thanks to Tommy Turtle and Phil! :)

TT - ROFLMO of thanks to you, too! LOL at your comment! As for those *footnotes*, sorry to had to steal your thunder for a bit. Since he's an obscure actor who's only guest starred in movies/shows that are either indies and/or flops, I had to add some of his info! Lochlyn may be ancient, but he's still well preserved and in mint condition! ;D When I told my other friends about him, they actually thought that I was making him up!

Phil - Glad you enjoyed this tribute! Wow, seems that even this unknown Canadian actor is getting a lot of attention around here!

I was thinking either Kotaro Tanaka (Red Hawk Jetman and AbareKiller), Kenta Satou (Red Turboranger), or Daisuke Shima (Red Liveman). learned today that Ryu's actor was in both Jetman and Abaranger! Plus, Ryu makes a cameo appearance in "Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger VS Super Sentai", along with 22 other Sentai Red Rangers. And I do have a few Sentai parody titles in the works.

Not stealing my thunder; rather "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". True! Was kidding about the f/n; actually honored that others have decided that it can be a useful technique to flesh out the parody with behind-the-scenes info. Feel free (others, I charge -- old joke ;) to use them1

Those are good choice actors of Sentai! :) Interesting facts about Kotaro Tanaka (Ryu/Red Hawk Jetman's actor). Got to check out Gaoranger vs Sentai someday. And good luck with those Sentai parodies!

I was kidding right back at you also! I concur that footnotes are very useful and informative, especially to the audience. I was also going to use it in my "In France" parody at first, but didn't think of it, and I didn't find out how to break spaces between lines while commenting until now.
