The Lyrics

This is dedicated to Paul Sheldon, the character that James Caan played in the 1990 movie "Misery". If you've seen the movie, this song will make sense.
Driving in a small town
As snow began to fall down
I started to lose control
Swerving down a back road
When suddenly my car rolled
Off the lane

Annie Wilkes, she reached out
She was a fan so devout
She had read all my stories
What a friendly lady
But she's a little crazy
Now I pray
I could run away

I'd smash the window and run like the wind
If Annie had not made my misery begin
She made me write
A new book
Just for her
And broke my legs
Stuck in a dark room with nowhere to go
If I up and died there's no one who would know
I'm up a creek
In a bind
Why'd she go and break my legs?

Want a way to break free
Have a pair of good knees
Ambulatory motion
If my car had just stayed
On the road I'd have made out okay
What a fateful day

I'd smash the window and run like the wind
If Annie had not made my misery begin
She made me write
A new book
Just for her
And broke my legs
Stuck in a dark room with nowhere to go
If I up and died there's no one who would know
I'm up a creek
In a bind
Why'd she go and break my legs?

Spending all my time for her
Writing on a typewriter
Wond'ring if the cops ever find me, I
Gotta keep up my faith that one day
Annie Wilkes, she will pay

I'd smash the window and run like the wind
I'd put a shotgun to old Annie's chin
She made me write
A new book
Just for her
And broke my legs
Stuck in a dark room with nowhere to go
If I up and died there's no one who would know
I'm up a creek
In a bind
Why'd she have to break my legs?
Break my legs
Break my legs

I'm not sure if i really saw the movie...the lyrics still look familiar to me... maybe i saw it but didn't saw it.. lol.. you made a good work with it too but i think your other K.C parodies were better.
