What's the difference between the Republicans and the country they govern? The Republicans are morally bankrupt, the country is just bankrupt.

Linda - a question for you from across the pond: you talk about the Left for dirty tricks, why was it during the last election campaign there was a staggering amount anti-Kerry propaganda which almost invariably was proven to be lies? Democrats don't have to lie. The truth is on our side. Lack of a real platform? Hey, we haven't nominated three straight candidates who haven't READ our party's platform. (Dole admitted he hadn't, and Bush admitted he doesn't read.) Anti-military? We're not sending our armed forces to die for Bush's lies. Pro-terrorist? What terrorist are we pro-? Come on, name one. Look at what former Republician presidential candidate Pat Robertson said yesterday! Isn't that just a bit over the edge calling for the assination of the Venezulain president. That party is one big farce! It's nothing about what Abe Lincoln stood for! Look at the approval stats for Bush! If Kerry won last year we'd be out of Iraq and the senseless death of nearly 2,000 Americans and countless Iraqui civilians! God Bless Cindy Sheehan and all the other families who have lost relatives in Iraq. It's just another Vietnam! A good paradoy song for this website should be: "War is Stupid, Bush is Stupid". I love this country, am anti abortion (personally), think convicted child sex offenders deserve to be castrated and rot away out of society, yet I am proud to call myself a moderate Democrat. Great parody! It is funny how the left gets so violently defensive when you poke fun at them. ;-) I think it is insecurity coupled with stupidity.
Opie, -- Thanks! -- I think you are right; it’s the insecurity, stupidity and the fact that they must stay true to form and keep up with their constant use of double standards. I also agree with you when you say that they get "violently defensive" â€" it is funny! -- It is also funny to imagine them reading an anti-democrat or pro-republican parody of any kind. I can almost visualize them with their temples all inflamed from the pressure of their bulging blood vessels. -- They do love and think hysterical those anti-republican parodies, however, now those are brilliant! If a parody repeats the words "republicans are stupid and dumb", had no sense of pace and was not even close to the org. song, it would be a masterpiece in their simple minds. It’s all-good though â€" I have come to understand that given their remedial mentality, they can't really help their disabilities!
