"On Par"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Golfing...sports or not you still gotta hit it on par.
When you're a golf star
You hit it on par
Sometimes it went too far
Whacked out heroic lore
It's just how you thought it'd be
'Cept the result's not to be
Cuz some dude ranged up a cell phone when you're putting
No
What?
No winner
All wasted
That's the place you're gonna hit when in the end
This is how your life works
It'll just make you believe
Before finding out how bad reality hurts
Not so Happy Gilmore indeed.

(SOTM) Golf parodies are few and far in between (as far as I've seen on the site), so kudos on taking on a rather fresh topic. Also good job on cramming enough funny into such a short OS. That's the only downside for me. The OS is just too short, You got some good lines in there, but not nearly enough. It seems to me, you just ran out of lyrics. Good effort though.

(ABC) Right on the green! For my golfing parody(featuring Tiger): http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/georgemcohan18.shtml

(SOTM) Meh, it's not really my thing. Kinda disappointing; I was expecting a parody of the commercial where the guy is dressed up as a pirate and working at a seafood restaurant. I'd like to see someone tackle that. This was a little too short to take advantage of. Sorry, man.

I don't know why you keep doing these Free Credit Report dot Com commercial parodies. They're far too short to get any real good lines out of which is why this parody was lacking any solid punch it could of had.

I agree with Matty...too short, even though this is my favorite FreeCreditReport.com commercial, nothing really special in this.

SOTM: Short, sweet, nice, neat, but honestly it could be longer, but 5's for the effort anyway! :-)

Hole in fives are better than hole in ones here, that goes on far too much if you ask me, but hole in ones, is something I rarely get in miniature golf when I play it, but hole in fives is usually what my minimum stroke is per hole. ;-D But again, really nice parody, but still I must agree, too short, but to be honest, personally, I really don't care how short a parody is, just as long as the pacing is good or great, it is really funny or just plain funny, and that will lead to me giving it a nice 5 for the first two categories, plus the overall score! :-)

(SOTM) I agree with Matthias, with the addition of the fact that because of the short length, I didn't understand what happened after the sixth line. What was with the cell phone, and were the remaining lines meant to make sense, cause they didn't to me.Felt like a completely different topic joined the party.
