The Lyrics

Well I clicked on to Amiright
So I can submit something so funny
I'm gonna write something so funny
Don't you know, don't you know, don't you know
I wrote it for you?
I'm so plucky, plucky, I'm so plucky!

Well, hoo-ha--hoo-ha, hoo-ha, ha-ha!
Well, hoo-ha--hoo-ha, hoo-ha, ha-ha!
Way to go! I never laughed like that before

Well, ok--D K T and O S
Well, ok--D K T and O S
Sorry Joe, but I never heard this song before

Well now my friend I'm just so proud of ya
Here's a vote of 555 for ya
Oh yeah

Here's a rhyme that'll really blow ya
From Seattle up to Nova Scotia
Oh yeah

Well, hoo-ha--hoo-ha, hoo-ha, ha-ha!
Well, hoo-ha--hoo-ha, hoo-ha, ha-ha!
Way to go! I never laughed like that before

Here we are, the Penstanza Pirates
And all our friends
Roomful of Primates
Oh yeah

Will you look at this Web site
It's full of misheard tunes and par-ody
If the pacing's off then just sue me
Don't ya know, don't ya know, don't ya know
The whole thing's for you?

Well, hoo-ha--hoo-ha, hoo-ha, ha-ha!
Well, hoo-ha--hoo-ha, hoo-ha, ha-ha!
Way to go! I never laughed like that before

Here's to Chucky!
Thanks to Chucky!
Thanks to Chucky !
Thanks to Chucky!
Thanks to Chucky!
Thanks to Chucky!
Thanks to Chucky!

YEAH!!!!

534 in the fullest sense of the vote. 'Do You Want To' is my least favourite Franz Ferdinand single so far. Your lyrics worked well to the tune, though.

555 in the bullest sh*t of the vote. ;-)

DKTOS Agrimorfee but good job and nice sentiments. 5s all the same, liked the 'really blow ya/Nova Scotia" couplet.

Live in the grand province of North Holland. Nah, my votes don't get twisted or erratic, I just let my heart speak... Can't five for funny when it don't blow my socks off. Even a 2 for funny would mean that I got a chuckle or smile out of it. I often find myself the sole voter to post a non-555 vote to parodies (I've done a lot of 544), and I'll continue to do so if it sets people off. If the AmIRight top parody authors are shaken by my votes, I'm happy. :-)

(SOTM) good pacing, etc. good job on this one.

Now this was interesting in many aspects, I was under the impression that this was a rather new and upcoming indie band from the northern parts of Sweden, so imagine my surprise of seeing them used in SOTM. (A little googling set me straight on the localization account). Though I now do wonder if it's some kind of deliberate tricky marketing going on, with MTV Nordic to split up in separate channels for each country to "help" endorse local bands (but of course still wanna cash in on anything that's profitable) etc.

SOTM - Now you got me wondering if someone is going to write a parody with all the rules on Amiright included...

SOTM...you know, I was love love loving it, all the way through, as I was under the impression that it was written for, well, me...(as it says)...and then at the end, it became a little awkward...as I've asked you before not to call me Chucky...; )

It's good, Agrimorfee, but not really your best.

(SOTM) well it's definitely better than the OS and that remarkably low-budget ($300 tops) film clip, although I was DKTOS until I downloaded it. I agree with Phil, Agri, but you get 5s for outdoing the OS :-) - 555

(SOTM) Good job.

(SOTM) I kinda like the OS...am I alone here? Good fun, and good to see Franz making an impact across the Atlantic. "Well, ok--D K T and O S" was pretty cool. 545

SOTM...Good idea, would have liked more humor. 544

Well, first I have to thank you for that very delightful video. i didn't KT and OS before; now that's been remedied. I swear I thought they were gonna break into "My Sharona" halfway through. Anyway, fun parody and happy to see the Monkey Room shout-out; well done.

Peter: Swedish or not, Franz Ferdinand is beloved here in the States. And speaking of Swedish, whatever happened to the Cardigans?

Aggro: This blew. Me. From Seattle up to Nova Scotia. Fun parody and happy to see the Monkey Room shout-out; well done.
Peter Andersson - December 01, 2005 - Report this comment
Spaff: I don't believe FF is Swedish anymore, this parody set me straight on that account, though I still think I've possibly been the subject of some "alluring" radio/MTV marketing.

As for the The Cardigans (www.cardigans.com) they've just released a comeback album, they're not really my cup of tea but I figure a title like "I need some fine wine and you you need to be nicer" must be a temptation to anyone of us here at Amiright!
