The Lyrics

(Acoustic Version) The blobfish is a deep sea fish known for their gelatinous and grotesque appearance. Over the past five years, blobfish has become quite the phenomenon garnering a lot of internet attention, and even being named the "World's Ugliest Animal" in 2013 and was adopted as the mascot for the Ugly Animal Preservation Society. For years, all we've done is point and laugh at this poor creature. Now it's his turn to share some thoughts. Here's more literature on blobfish if you actually want to learn more:
Verse 1: Mellow, just floating gently through
Ever blob…
Outright, I’m grotesque this is true
But out of the sea
How could it be this cold?
Calm down, so my flesh won’t congeal
Stop laughing…
Amount, of pressure that I feel
But all in my head
None of it stead-ies though

Chorus: And I blubber
Since I’ve been discovered you…
If everyone will always be this cruel forever
Like everything will never be this cool again
The only thing you’re ever noticin’
I gotta problem with my flimsy flabby skin
This stanks!

Verse 2: Freak out, just found out where I’ve been
It begins…
And now, awards don’t care to win
“Ugliest Thing”, “Ugliest Thing”, they say…

Chorus: And I wonder
Would that be a prize to you?
If everyone could ever be a tad more clever
Then every meme would maybe seem quite good, I bet
Present pictures sure don’t flatter you
Gotta problem with the notion that’s been set
Makes sense?

Chorus: Nature’s blunder
Why don’t they still teach in school
If everyone can’t ever say a word not churlish
Then anything you’re thinking shan’t be said at all
The only thing you foolish humans do
Is sit on laptops and make fun of ugly fish…

Fun parody about that creepy looking blob fish. Weirdest looking animal ever but I do feel kind of sorry for this little guy after reading this parody

Interesting idea...kinda lacking in the "ha-ha" department though. I understand what you were going for, and the pacing was pretty solid...but super funny to me.

(Artistry) Definitely an interesting idea, and pulled off pretty well too. I think I've only seen the blobfish once, but the idea of an ugly thing not being happy at being only known as an ugly thing is not a tricky concept to wrap one's head around. 555 captioned fish!

They do seem like interesting sea creatures.

Possibly akin to the Mud Skipper (which I examined in my parody of "Couch Surfer" by Bran Van 3000). but wayyyyyyyyyy uglier. :)
