The Lyrics

You need to follow the quotation marks in this song, or else it gets kind of confusing. Thanks.
“Someone stole the cookies from the cookie jar
The cookie jar
The cookie jar

Someone stole the cookies from the cookie jar
The cookie jar
The cookie jar.”

“Wasn’t me, wasn’t me”
“The lid is gone and the jars empty
They’re gone
And those were peanut butter
I think one of them even had frosting
Someone took all of the Do-si-dos
Someone took the Thin Mints and Samoas
There used to be plenty of Oreos
Now there are no cookies all together
Which one of you guys just took all of them
All of the crumbs of the chocolate chip
Which one of you is the Cookie Monster
Cause is down right un-American
Why not go in there and take a look?
Which one of you is the cookie crook?
Look at the treats you took”
“There is no way that I stole them cause, look:

I was sitting there in the living room
The living room
The living room.”

“And I was over there on the telephone
On the telephone
On the telephone.”

“Wasn’t me, wasn’t me
How can you think that it was me?”
“A lie!”
“I’m just a small girl
I was over there with a book to read
Why not just go right back to the food store?
I’ll go right back and read my magazine.”
“I’m blaming you cause I saw you take four
of the cookies that were filled with cream.
Now, I’ll go back into the kitchen
And I’ll make three dozen more because that is my mission
I’ll make them real sweet and rich and
I’ll make them real good with melted chocolate.
Oatmeal, chocolate and vanilla
These all will be saved for the future
The fact that they’ll be saved is very slim
Savor them now cause they’ll soon be missing.

Someone stole the cookies from the cookie jar
The cookie jar
The cookie jar

Who else stole cookies from the cookie jar?
The cookie jar?
The cookie jar?”

“Wasn’t me, wasn’t me”
“This stealing has to stop,
I really wanted to eat
The treats that were swapped.”
I’ll wake up early
And I’ll be sure
I’ll eat my cookies
Cause they aren’t yours
After lots of hard work and dedication
And I put on the frosting decoration
I stared at them all in admiration
And I just sat down for relaxation
I just made myself a couple dozen
And I just sat down in my chair
Not even the finest of all magicians
Can take these cookies out of thin air

I got up real fast for a glass of milk
A glass of milk
A glass of milk

And when I left, I thought I was all alone
I was all alone
I was all alone

And then when I got back- the cookies were gone!
The cookies were gone
The cookies were gone
The cookies were gone
The cookies were gone
The cookies were gone

Someone stole the cookies from the cookie jar
The cookie jar
The cookie jar

Someone stole the cookies from the cookie jar
The cookie jar
The cookie jar

Don't entirely remember the pacing, but since everyone else gave it a five, I'll give it one, too. Anyway, the parody is well-written. 555

Sir, I love this . . . I remember ~JJ~ complaining relentlessly about the empty CookieJar . . . . it's so adorable, when a grown man finds it empty . . .

I went onto YouTube and typed in handlebars and listened to it while reading these lyrics and they went with the other song pretty well but not perfectly, so i gave the pacing a 4. Anyways, these are really good lyrics.

Man, I forgot how much I loved this one. Great OS (kinda sounds like Cake) which I ironic because you did a song about cookies. This was tasty and funny.

(ABC) Nice parody here, which is amazing given the very simple idea and the difficulty of the OS (not to say that I've parodied it, but it's a rap song, it's a given). 555 biscuits for you (that's what Australian people call "cookies")!

It was good I just had some trouble following the rhyme scheme . . .but the idea was great. . .
