i'll cut it down for ya man now ok it's easy
if you want it greasy, then i'll make it greasy
in the fifth chair or the in the one by the exit
in the last or in the middle it's however you want it

and ya friends look good they call me hair master
you wanna show me how you work it man,no problem
get up turn around and start to trim this mans bottom
im the greatest in the shop when it comes to these domes
afta ya turn 'round the block,ya hair can meet these combs
im tryin to trim ya beard man,the best way i can
but ya keep movin 'round so im about to cut my own hand (ha,ha)

[CHORUS]
i'll take ya to the barber shop
with styles like the eraser top
c'mon man ya look like a mop
so go on to the barber shop (whoa)

i'll take ya to the barber shop
want'a style like the one i got
the shop's just around the block
so go on to the barber shop (whoa)

[VERSE 2]
let me cut ya hair man, nice and slow
get in the seat and stay still like you tryin to roll sum dro
you ain't neva seen a style like this befo'
cuz u ain't neva met a barber like this befo'
soon as you walk thru tha door i got you payin in my tip cup
two dollars is fine as long as you ok wit ya hair cut
isn't it slick how rather quick i got you outta the seat
got you thinkin of my styles after you leave
i trim the right spaces and the right place
gel on or gel none you'll like how i leave ya face
so productive you should see the way i move
if you want it short and if ya want it smooth
as short as you want it homie i won't stop snippin
show ya boyz how ya look after and they'll start trippin
no more weaves or combovers after im done there
and you be leavin out the shop wit a little gel in ya hair

[CHORUS 2X]

with styles like the eraser top
c'mon man ya look like a mop
so go on to the barber shop (whoa)

the shop's just around the block

What in the world is this garbage? And what in the world is meant by "Fifty Cent" as the "original artist"? Since "fifty" is plural, one must use the plural "cents," not the singular "cent." One must say "Fifty Cents" (which is still an asinine name for an artist or group).

To Lurker: He spelled out the artist's name. Haven't you ever heard of a rapper by the name of 50 Cent?
Red Ant - March 12, 2005 - Report this comment
Had to put my two cents in here. Mikey I have heard of 50 Cent. And Lurker, you missed his screen name, he did not use fifty cent, he used "Filthy Cent", which would NOT be plural, as in a dirty penny. BTW Filthy Cent, I don't listen to much rap so I couldn't vote on this ...sorry.
Red Ant - March 14, 2005 - Report this comment
Forgot to mention Lurker, that 50 cent can be used NON PLURAL as in " Do you have two quarters? No but I have a fifty cent piece." Agreed though, pretty dumb name for a rapper, but how many times has P. Diddy changed his name or Old Dirty Bastard changed his name??

It is really funny. I was some place and I saw this sign for a "Barber Shop" it was called. I forget- think I'd just heard "Candy Shop" that morning or some time recently. So it came into my head, "Barber Shop". Then I decided to see if there were any parody songs on "Candy Shop". I decided to see if "Barber Shop" was already done. Then I found this song. Good job- although I'm mad the idea was already done. I'm gonna do my own version but don';t worry I'm not going to copy this version.
