Parody Song Title:

"Out of Business"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

No offense intended to Old Navy in particular it just fit well within the song
I'm low on greenbacks my summer apparel
Ain't selling fast
Cause now an Old Navy was built right next to me
I don't think I can last

My pockets are both getting progressively smaller
Now I've got two customers

So I'm going out of business
It was a good try bad luck for this vendor
There will be low price tags inside my store
I give up, to try is silly

I'd go arrest who stole my source
Of income but that can't be done
Since I am not a policeman
And there are too many to arrest every one
So my American dream is now over
I'll go live on a bench

So I'm going out of business
It was a good try bad luck for this vendor
There will be low price tags inside my store
I give up, to try is silly

Revenge is sweet
But I'd surely fail
And I'd be sent
To live in jail
I sleep on grass
It's annoying
And for some cash
I'll stop singing

I have gone out of business
And I wish unsold pants were legal tender
A month ago I had a thriving store
A Starbucks moved in there quickly

I have to chow on fish sticks
Since I can't afford to buy a real dinner
I want to go buy snacks but I'm too poor
Out of luck, and it is chilly

My low morale made me quit
I could have found a new job but whatever
I'll work when real live dragons burn your door
I'm a bum, but free like Willy

To be continued if i get around to it

DARN YOU! I was totally going to use the "price tags" thing for my parody of White Flag. Went something like "I will go out and shoplift/And I will stuff items in my suspenders..." Good work here, the "free like Willy" line was what did it in for me. 5's.

(ABC) "A Starbucks moved in there quickly" ..... all too-true in so many places, it seems, these days...

DKTOS, and I'm running out of time to find it - I kind of agree with what Luke said

(ABC) Damn, people! I thought this was hilarious! Great rhymes; lots of low key, tongue-in-cheek humor: "sleep on a bench", the Starbucks line, 'chilly'....
MysteryGoat - August 21, 2004 - Report this comment
Honestly it didn't make me laugh, sorry.
