The Lyrics

Where is the humour we needed the most?
Atlantic declined Weird Al I suppose
We don't need the right from other bands
We're taking it into our own hands
And making our own rhapsody

I heard of this song six months in a row
It's from Disney's High School Musical show
Needless to say it's now the pits
So I had it vandalised to bits
And now it's funny parody

'Cause we had it fanmade
We're singing this song
But the video stinks
And the lyrics are wrong
We can't sing a line
Without stopping to laugh
'Cause the words were rewritten
By the guy running Spaff
We had it fanmade
It's all incorrect
You think it ain't right,
Well what didja expect?
Whether like it or hate
We had it fanmade

Who cares if the topic's meant to tease?
Inspiring thoughts don't grow on trees
Just so long as it works for me

Yeah we had it fanmade
It's a new form of art
We find a cool song
And we take it apart
We smash up the words
And throw in new strands
Of vocabulary
We had it fanmade
The message that was
Now fuels our fire
Of a humourous cause
We had it fanmade

Sometimes we're faced with artists' block
On a recent number one
But I believe that eventually
Someone's gonna get it done
It's just for fun

So where is the humour we needed the most?
Or does Am I Right need a couple more votes?

'Cause we had it fanmade
No need to appease
The Hollywood stars
And the powers that be
And if they were mad
It's all very well
That our stuff makes them go
We had it fanmade
Demolishing lines
We'll use up this song
One more time
So ends this tirade
We had it fanmade

The only time the pacing was off was with the ROTFLOL line (1 syllable too many). Still, 555 for possibly the finest parodist anthem ever!!
