Song Parodies -> "Blind Date"

Original Song Title:

"Bad Day"

Original Performer:

Daniel Powter

Parody Song Title:

"Blind Date"

Parody Written by:

Jack Wilson

The Lyrics

Much better than my other parody of this
Needed a girl who Id date the most
I got set up ,she ,in good taste land, was lost
Said she liked the movie "Swept Away"
Doesn't think "Gigli"'s garbage waste
We both had nothing in common

Like Billy Ray Cyrus? You just hit a new low!
At the bar she requested the "Macarena"
I wonder how they deal with her online
My friend here named Steve he set me up
I don't think that he paid attention

Cause I had a blind date
And she made me frown
She turned on that song called "Achy Breaky Heart"
She said she don't know
What good music's like
She listened to bad songs all of the time
Even played "Bad Day"
Song I kinda like
Then it was James Blunt who I really do mind
I had a bad date
That was my blind date

She talked about boyfriends all the day
Pretended to laugh at her stories
Said "Shut up!" but she still carried on

And that was my blind date
Glad when it was done
Im still single now Ill start lookin around
I want one that knows
That knows what I like
See a mechanical bull and go for a ride
That's on my next date
Im that kinda guy
Don't wanna have one that I really despise
Ill ride my blind date
(On.. holiday..)

Sometimes blind dates are unexpected
And the girl's maybe a man
She might have a moustache and she
Looks really buff and she's strong
And twists my schlong

(yeah...)

So where is the girl that Id take the most
And for a ride
Don't get up and leave and start hidin your bust

Then I had the blind date
Here's then what went down
We went in the car then we drove around
Do you wanna know?
What happened that night?
Later that night I took her for a ride
A better blind date
Think this one I like
We'll get married soon in no time
No greater blind date
Than she was to spank ooooh
End of blind date ohhh

Its wedding day ohhh yea yea yea yea
More I shall spank ohhhhh oh yea

To: Parody Police". Practice what you preach. If you don't like these parodies, don't read them. Try writing something yourself, you pathetic loser. If you and your "officers" who are obviously just different personalities in the same schitzo, and I would encourage you to seek treatment for bi-polar dementia. Really. And I know who you are. Really.

Jack, this was really good, excellent pacing and really funny.
Cop Killer - November 13, 2006 - Report this comment
There is nothing wrong with parodying this OS into something involving a date, so you morons can stop spouting off.

Cop Killer, Yes. 1st date parody, very good, 2nd date parody, good, 4th date parody, nodding off, 6th date parody, Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

To the "Parody Police First Rank". the schitzo also know as Parody Police, Parody Police Sheriff, and Parody Police Deputy, Your new nickname is very appropriate. "Rank" is very fitting, you should stick with it. I can smell the stench emitted from your mouth all the way here in Alaska. If you were a little bit smarter, you could recognize how stupid you are. Constructive criticism is welcome, venom spouting is counter productive. To '1' this parody IS aimed at the author himself, and if you think otherwise, put up a parody under 'the parody police' and see how many times you get '1'd from here on out. "Pathetic loser", "anal retentive", "asshole", "schitzo", amd "bi-polar" are very nice nice adjectives compared to what I would call you face to face. They are, however, quite appropriate, and fit you well. I agree that you and all your other personalites on exhibit here should seek medical help. Modern day medicine might work wonders, although I'm not sure the biggest 'Jaws of Life' could ever extract your massively inflated head from your derriere. Have a good day, (all of your personalities.)

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this parody. It is perfectly valid. It is not plagairized from some other source, and the author parodied most every line. So all you trolls can just back off.

Mayor, Cop Killer and the REAL parody police (whoever they are), we stand by what we said about this parody and no amount of whinging will make us change our hearts. So lets get back to living please.

Good idea. Chucky Gee will be glad to erase all of your childish comments; not a single one of them would be enjoyed by your average reader.

Thanks Parody Police and their gang of misfits( some of them) and Red Ant!

Reminds me sooooooooo much of Kristof's "Mad Date", so although the idea wasn't original it was still very good to get a Jack Wilson take on the same story.

(ABC4) I'm not familiar with other "Bad Date" parodies, so Jack is at an advantage here. On its own merits, its OK---a bit too much review on dissimilar tastes in music. I wanted to know what made the last date good! Seems a lot more could have been said.

(ABC4) The only other 'Bad Date' I've heard of is one that Weird Al almost recorded. Lucky it didn't, or you'd get blasted even more! Pretty good Jack, rhyming could be better.

(ABC4) wow, aggressive comments, Jack! nice job - I'm unaware of all the other so-called similar parodies, so I thought it was good - btw deaf and dumb dates are much worse - 555

(ABC4B) As the originator of the Powter "Date" parody (over 2 years ago!) I'm partly responsible for the verbal kicking you got earlier Jack (morons...) so, sorry dude (I remember you commented on my parody that you were planning to write this). This is pretty good; far better IMHO than most of the others of the same ilk. Your rhyming was a bit hit and miss (make sure you work on that) but otherwisw, well done. 555

(ABC) Awesome!. . . . .no kidding:) But seriously very good job, I saw a few very minor pacing squabbles. . .but good job on an overplayed pop hit.

(ABC) The rhyming was off, but otherwise, delightfully wacky.
