Song Parodies -> "This Song Is Incredibly Rediculous and Has Nothing to do with Japan"

Original Song Title:

"Lovers in Japan"

Original Performer:

Coldplay

Parody Song Title:

"This Song Is Incredibly Rediculous and Has Nothing to do with Japan"

Parody Written by:

Below Average Dave

The Lyrics

Louder, Chris I can't hear your song
Whining, whether its sad or fun
TVs, Coldplay checks what is on
Spinning, This dizziness is so wrong

They are spitting lyrics out
But can't tell what it's about
Framing his face now
Writing on the screen like wow
Yes I have some doubts
I can't figure the lyrics out

Most their songs carry on and on
Just two verses, both are random
Ohh ohh
Want deep lyrics well there aren't none

I know Coldplay fans will shout
but what is this song about?
Can't figure it out
This chorus is running down
I liked "Speed of Sound"
But this song's the worst I found
This has been a Below Average Dave Production, All Rights Reserved--Kinda-in actuality this song isn't the worst I have found, just the worst Coldplay song, and most their songs are excessively whiny, I like Speed of Sound, and I like Viva La Vida, but everything else I heard by them sounds like they are trying to cross Enya with U2 and it just doesn't work

You're turning into the next Red Ant. You don't like any band do you? Guns N Roses, Coldplay, Flogging Molly, The B-52s, Eminem, and even Beyonce... Seems like the only bands you like are Fall Out Boy and Green Day. Before you yell at me this time I'm just joking I saw your disclaimer at the bottom of the page and I agree with you on that is exactly what they sound like!

Well, of course it has nothing to do with Japan. You're not Blessranger!

BAD - Nihongo? Nani? Kore nan day mo nai? Watukshi wa no itai dai mo nai, yo! I think I just hurt myself singing along to that Coldplay noise. Great bashing of a "BAD" song. I agree with you 100% that there is a lot of trash out there these days. Gimme those oldies anytime.

I need to listen to the song before I can give a full judgement here, so there will be another comment from me later. Kudos for doing it on the fly. I just realized how the song structure for many a Coldplay song is almost the same--but this one is different! Looks like a few readers had issue with your work here already.

(Artistry 77) I don't know too much of this song and not crazy about the OS. But I loved the way you wrote this parody. Of course it's got nothing to do with Japan cuz the OS isn't as exciting as Japan. And my fave Coldplay songs are Clocks, Speed Of Sound, Viva La Vida, and In My Place. Well, I vote: go go go (555 in Japanese), Dave-sama!

So for a final comment after hearing/reading: this was pretty good. Indeed, the mock-U2 comments stand out heavily with this OS. It's a simple thing to skewer a pop group's idiosyncracies, but it's always effective.

(Artistry) I agree that the OS is nonsensical, but damn, if it isn't Coldplay's bounciest song ever! The grammar was a bit off in places, and this was a bit short. Would've been interest if you had incorporated "Reign of Love" which is on the same track on the CD Lovers in Japan is on. Still, 555.

(Artistry) Sorta like a condensed version of "Smells Like Nirvana". So Chris Martin is the love child of Enya and Bono? Who knew?
