The Lyrics

I may be guilty to admit this, but I actually like the Yankees and I'm from Chicago! (Hey, what have the White Sox done for us lately?) In fact, the only time I root against New York is when they play the Sox at Comiskey--sorry, Frank Thomas.
Boy, I saw you soon as you came running on the field
You and the Yankees crew just took over the park
Started doing your thing, and it made me notice you even more
The way Jeter turned double plays it seemed to me as though
They must've somehow spotted me in pinstriped love
Something tells me you're the kind of team I'd like to get to know

I can see A-Rod, Giambi and them
Matsui and Sheff, Posada and Joe
I am guilty as charged, of loving New York
It's Yankee Love, can we do it again?

This can't be the first time that I'm seeing them around
They have been visiting, so they're not new in town, no
Whatever the case, I'm feeling New York Yankees right now
Jeter and A-Rod amnd Giambi let me know that you
Like what you see and wanna get to know me, too
This could very well be the start of something special
Happy that I met you...

I can see A-Rod, Giambi and them
Matsui and Sheff, Posada and Joe
I am guilty as charged (Guilty as charged)
Of loving New York (Loving New York)
It's Yankee Love (Yankee Love)
Can we do it again?

I can see A-Rod (See A-Rod)
Giambi and them (Giambi and them)
Matsui and Sheff (Matsui and Sheff)
Posada and Joe (Posada and Joe)
I am guilty as charged (oh, oh)
Of loving New York (Loving New York)
It's Yankee Love, can we do it again?

I didn't think that I'd come here tonight, meet George Steinbrenner
Start feeling the way I do
I've always loved Joe Torre most of my life
After one Yankees win, this must be right

I can see A-Rod (Over here, A-Rod!), Giambi and them (Oh baby)
Matsui and Sheff (hey yeah), Posada and Joe (Yeah)
I am guilty as charged of loving New York
It's Yankee Love, can we do it again?

I can see A-Rod, Giambi and them
Matsui and Sheff, Posada and Joe
I am guilty as charged of loving New York
It's Yankee Love, can we do it again?

I can see A-Rod (I can see A-Rod)
Giambi and them (Giambi and them)
Matsui and Sheff (Matsui and Sheff)
Posada and Joe (Posada and Joe)
I am guilty as charged (Guilty as charged)
Of loving New York (Loving New York)
It's Yankee Love (Yankee Love)
Can we do it again? (Do it again)

I can see A-Rod (I can see A-Rod)
Giambi and them (Giambi and them)
Matsui and Sheff (Matsui and Sheff)
Posada and Joe (Posada and Joe)
I am guilty as charged (Guilty as charged)
Of loving New York (Loving New York)
It's Yankee Love (Yankee Love)
Can we do it again? (Do it again!)
But the Cubs will always be Number One in my heart!

What have the White Sox done lately? Well, since 2000, they've won more Division Titles than the Anaheim Angels, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Tigers, Florida Marlins, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Montreal Expos, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays combined. Of course, if you count a Wild Card team winning the Pennant, then remove the Angels, Marlins, Mets from that equation. But that's still more than half the teams.
