Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

This is a song about running and the runner's high. Unlike the previous 2 songs that I did this one figures to have a lot more humor and wordplay. This song was originally done by Bone Thugs and Harmony which was called Weed Song. It was done from their BTNRESSURECTION album which was released in February of 2000.
(Poetic Runner #2)

Take me higher higher baby.
Can you feel it (feel it ,feel it, feel it)
Do you feel the runner's high that I do?
Cause I'm so high (runnin makes me feel that way)
It feels so right.
Come on let's run.
Gotta get runner's high.
I've been high since the last song of that (Bone, Bone, Bone, Bone)
And I've hust been runnin and runnin.
Runnin lots of miles.
Won't be finished in a while.
You know that runnin can really ease your mind.
Every time I do LSD the runner's high makes me fly.
If everyone ran a long slow pace relieved the mind the world would be a better place.
If nonbelievers would just chill out and get off of my case and
get pumped (up up up) lifted, (up up up) blissed (up up up).
Pull these three letters (up up up)
Lets get LSD-ded (LSD-ded, LSD-ded)

(Chorus, Poetic Runner #4)

This bliss can't get no better, no better baby.

(Poetic Runner #4)

Always runnin each and every single day.
Come around my way.
You're going to want to stay.
Runnin makes me happy, blissful and all I can say.
There nothing like a 42K.
Don't make me wait this can be great to have you running next to me.
After 15 miles we'll be floatin in ecstasy.
Forget about the speed.
LSD is all we need.
Just lace up the shoes on your feet.
Then well be floatin as we run all day on the streets.
I'm lovin these runner's high times. (I'm lovin these runner's high times.)
I'm lovin these runner's high times.
But I gotta ask you.
Are you high enough? (Are you high enough?)
Are you high enough? (Are you high enough?)

(Poetic Runner #1)

When I first ran long I caught a great buzz.
I really didn't know what it was.
I wondered why I felt so good then I learned it was the runner's high.
Runnin, runnin makes my mind feel at ease.
If you wanna feel what I feel I got you Pearl Izumis from Achilles.
If you got shoes lace em up.
I'd be very happy to pace you up.
If they're mine then I would.
Since their yours you could you should.
If I ain't there when you lace up and run please think of me.
Cause you know a fella like me likes to get high and free.
Runner's high as a kite.
Feelin so right.
Poetic Runners get high. So high, high high. Sky high, high, high So high.

(Poetic Runner #5)

Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my, my, my.
I know you wonder why I'm runner's high
when I soar up and fly in the sky.
This evening I was layin in my bed.
Endorphin still ringin and bangin in my head.
I wanted to wine and dine with you but today baby I got LSD-ded instead.
But baby don't go away.
Just hear what I gotta say.
We can feel high as a plane
Such heavenly feelin we can get when that endorphin shoots out the brain.
Oh darlin I'm goin insane.
And I wish we really could get our fleet on in Austin.
Or better yet that great city of Boston.
You heard it all. You heard it all.
You heard that I'm a Zen runner and a lyrical runnin poet.
Just peep this song and you're gonna know it.
And I never ever knew that someone as hip as me.
Could ever M C and LSD.
Daily fleetin in my New Balance.
And showin off my poetic talent.

(Poetic Runner #3)

And when I need to free my mind I can find satisfaction in an LSD.
Everything you want to know about it just leave to me.
It can make you feel better.
And every day after I awake, I'm runnin more miles and more miles and more miles.
And I gotta load up on cliff shots cause it will be a long while.
When I'm runnin, strollin, rollin and floatin.
Through the city bumpin hip hop just rollin and rollin.
Me endorphin and LSD it's my world its my thang.
Puttin it on the map in a rap with these rhymes that we sang.
Peep game.
Poetic Runners gettin LSD-ded on the streets all day long.
Then tellin you all about in it this Long Slow Distance Song.

(Repeat Chorus until fade)

Thanks for letting me know that this one was inspired by my own parody about running and LSD (that's runner's lingo for Long Slow/Steady Distance for you non-runners), I agree that it's a step ahead of your previous ones but I gotta wonder if all your songs about running are gonna be to BT&H songs? If so I think there's a special submission form for full album parodies that Chucky would let you use, haven't seen anyone use it in a long time and never used it myself, it sure takes a lot to write like ten songs about the same subject AND make them fit ALL the songs on an original album, should you actually end up there some day in the future it would be quite an achievement, though given I'm the only one who seems to comment on your songs this might not be the best forum for them in the first place. Still, as a runner to another, I applaud you with my feet by a home stretch rush in high frequency.

Thanks for commenting. I think all of my parodies are going to be BT@H albums because when I rap in front of other people they are genuinely impressed. When I sang one time in a slow voice someone said that I am not a singer. So I have found out my most effective way of vocalizing is rapping at the Bone style fast pace. Besides I have fun taking songs about weed and turning them into songs about the runner's high which has been said to be the same ingredient with a different name and It would be good if others took notice. I thought the Flesh Bone verse (Poetic Runner #5) was the funniest as I will sing it at work tomorrow for everyone to hear. They seem impressed. Thanks for voting.

i dont get it. why do you glorify drugs, if you are an athelete? lots of people die young because of drugs. its not funny nick.

@Chilly Peppa Chick. Unless you are a runner you can't understand some of the language that comes with it. As I said. LSD meant Long Slow Distance and I was writing about the runner's high that comes with running. I assume you are the one who 1 bombed me. Besides running is healthier than drugs any way. I suggest you read the whole lyrics before making quick judgments next time.

nick, i have read the whole lyrics, again. the group bone thugs n harmony are gang members that glorify drugs, beating women, and hating white people. their original song glorifies weed. it appears you took their song and made more drug reference to LSD, with the twist of tying it into running. i get it, but its still not funny. drugs are nothing to joke around with, unless you are a user and think its cool. i for one, do not. many families lose loved ones to drugs every year. drugs are no joke. drugs hurt and kill people. drugs are bad. drugs are not funny. i suggest you try feeling some empathy towards others when writing your lyrics.

@ChilliPeppaChick. Hey nothing wrong with how you feel. Its all good. But let me ask you are you a runner? As I said what I meant was LONG SLOW DISTANCE. I will admit to you when I run I was listening to their original songs. Then I did my own research and found out that that it would be good to write about the runner's high. I for one think it would be good if people didn't do drugs and took up healthy addictions instead. LONG SLOW DISTANCE is a runner's lingo which is understood by one group of people and can't be understood by others unless they make the effort to understand it. And as far as "funny" goes? My intention was to write from my heart about my feelings about running instead of the LOL effect as one Amiright user commented on a couple years ago. And I have been told unless my songs are funny I probably shouldn't post on amiright. I may look for better original songs to write parodies from.
