The Lyrics

before i knew what this was like for the real musicians out there (not us), these were my thoughts. i'm going the way of the nostalgia here.
What's wrong with the music
We can't download our songs, we hate this
I think the RIAA's addicted to the green slips
If they get no money, they resort to censorship
Everyone, yeah we try to download the songs that we please
But we can't get them without no money
We get what we don't want, and we all blow a $20
Two songs we like for five bucks is plenty
But if all you want in this world is cash
Be a musician, and you get it fast
Only sports players earn more in a day
Jack up prices, overpay, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
The music that I download is all staticcy
Man, I think that online music should be free
If it isn't done professionally
All they want is our money, y'all, y'all

Now the music isn't free
Because it's done professionally
All we want are cheap singles
We just want one song, this is bull

Why, oh why, oh why the static
Haven't we endured enough
So we ask the music industry
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

It just ain't the same, all ways have changed
New Napster is strange, is Roxio insane?
If the industry is so strong,
Why do they want more money than we want to give up?
Rappers droppin' bombs?
Explicit lyrics fillin' ears of little ones,
They're the problem, they do too much
So ask yourself is the lovin' really gone?
So I could ask myself, really what is goin' wrong?
In the computers that we livin' with people keep on downloadin'
RIAA makin' bad decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respectin' the public, have we suffered enough yet?
With the censorship now, we start to forget
About the times when we downloaded the music for naught, and
With the problems now those days are forgotten
Where's the love, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the truth, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the love, y'all

Now the music isn't free
Because it's done professionally
All we want are cheap singles
We just want one song, this is bull

Why, oh why, oh why the static
Haven't we endured enough
So we ask the music industry
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

They shut down Napster, now they're goin' after Kazaa
The RIAA doesn't think we've had enough
Musicians only care about money makin'
Selfishness got them followin' the wrong direction
Blanking out the music, we lose all our media
Buying stuff in bulk, that is their criteria
Infecting our computers faster than bacteria
All we think is spending $20 is inferior
Yo', whatever happened to the music being free?
Whatever happened to the downloading being so easy?
Instead of sharing files we're getting angry
We just want the singles, not to spend $20
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gonna keep surfing until my song is found

Now the music isn't free
Because it's done professionally
All we want are cheap singles
We just want one song, this is bull

Why, oh why, oh why the static
Haven't we endured enough
So we ask the music industry
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)

******FADE OUT******

"these are not my opinions about the issue (anymore). i don't know why, but i do think that they are taking steps to a good music world," i say as i download all gob songs ever made.

This song doesn't really reflect my view on the whole ish but it's still un(e?) parodie très magnifique. Good job! (And I love this song.) *applauds* I hope my French isn't too bad. I never did learn the word for "parody". I think it's probably what I put but maybe I'll look it up later.
