The Lyrics

No one wants to experience this feeling, but this situation is a little bit different than most others like it.
Verse 1: Your pouting eyes will get you a bone
Sign says no dogs, must leave you alone
Leave you here, knowing you’re true
When I return, gone out of the blue!

Chorus: Maybe he’s lost
Baby, he’s lost
Help me find my lost dog

Verse 2: He’s friendly to people, dark black nose
His fur is shaggy, answers to “yo”
I’m out here seeking, looked everywhere
Back to the market, might be back there

Chorus: Thinking he’s lost
Why is he lost?
Where in hell’s my lost dog!?
When will he find me?!
Wait! Is he behind me?!
Searching for my lost dog…

Bridge: There’s one thing you should be knowing
Fact I never said before
My dog doesn’t have no legs, no
Someone had to give a push
Here! He rolled into the bush

Chorus: He is not lost!
No he’s not lost!
No longer a lost dog!
I’m sorry for frightening
It was impolite, man
Least we found my lost dog…
Pretty messed up right?! Actually got the idea for a "lost legless dog" from watching a Bo Burnham comedy special. If you've never heard of him, definitely check him out! Very odd indeed, but there are people that own dogs missing legs- usually one, but sometimes two. Never heard of a legless dog though but kinda pictured your represention in a red wagon outside the store that rolled away. 5s for creativity. Undoubtedly, someone will come along and bomb this for perceived animal cruelty. PETA people are nutters if you ask me!

Quite a shaggy dog story, if I may say so. This coulda turned really bad...but it didn't! Good for you for not going sick or overly mawkish on this. 555

Strange parody. A 0-legged dog? Very odd indeed but it was still a lot of fun to read even though this parody takes a bit of a dip into the unexplainable.

Hahaha was not expecting that twist at the end (hence why they call it a twist!) Really funny stuff, and more funny than cruel (to me anyway), great job!

Somewhat of an WTF ending, but lol. It could have been much worse, at least it wasn't shoot the shaggy dog story and we have too many of these cases in real life.

(Artistry) A bit odd, but still sweet in a funny kinda way. 555
