Casser - Not great, but amusing. I actually kind of like Lavigne, although "sk8tr boi" is honestly my least favorite song off that album. However, FYI - I did read a review of a show she did at an L.A. club (a bit before she became the huge arena-filling deal) and the reviewer mentioned that she did indeed play guitar and was actually pretty good. I do not recall for sure the publication I saw it in, but I believe it was the Los Angeles Times. Anyway, everyone gets to have their own opinion, skater or not, punk or not, guitar-player or not...whatever. She does possess a great voice and whether or not she wrote the song it SOUNDS authentic. The "Matrix" team may have written much of it, don't know. By contrast Liz Phair, whose 1st album 10 years ago showed a lot of promise, for some reason is singing the same type of songs. And she DOESN'T sound authentic (could be something to do with a 36-year old woman singing songs that might sound real from a 16-18 girl). Seems like maybe she skipped over the "Emotional growth" part of living. Well, that can happen. Hey, it's great if people both WRITE and PERFORM their own stuff but there is no law against INTERPRETING the work of others or co-writing a piece. The point of being an artist is to do a song in a way that makes THAT song your own. Lavigne can do that, and not every vocalist out there can. That would be real enough for me. You can (and will) set your own standards. Well, that's enough for today class. Okay, this was an okay parody, i like how you include she's a poser, cant sk8 but it could have been written better.
